There's a train station right in Manc airport, which I'm sure has trains that go straight to Liverpool.
Kopfaithful Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 or national express runs bus, which i think is quicker than the train at times.

I did last time over, scarf, jacket and all...wasn't my brightest moment I guess! There I am on the platform at Picadilly and I ask the nearest attendant I find which was the train to Lime Street! Easily could have sent me on my way!
EL_corazon Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I did last time over, scarf, jacket and all...wasn't my brightest moment I guess! There I am on the platform at Picadilly and I ask the nearest attendant I find which was the train to Lime Street! Easily could have sent me on my way! I always use Davy Cabs, first time I used them I was on a day-trip from Ireland bringing my father to his first game. Davy cabs picked us up at Mancland and dropped us to Lime street and we asked him if he'd take us back again that night. He said no problem, and wouldn't accept any money until the evening, how nice was that ?
philippe Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 If you fly on match day, there will be plenty of Norwegian/Irish/Whatever people comming over for the same reason as you.Talk to some of them right out of the airport, and share a cab. I did it with a bunch of guys from Belfast last I came over from Copenhagen and it cost me like £7... got me right to Anfield!Otherwise, you can take the train just outside the airport. You'll have to change at Manchester Picadilly, which means: wear no colors on you when travelling.... The cab thing works best, imho. Good luck, man. I wish I was there too!
