Rooney: 'I would never dive'

 

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney has insisted that he would "never dive" as he is too honest and such actions harm the sport.

 

The 20-year-old, quoted in the wake of the dubious penalty awarded to Tottenham Hotspur against Portsmouth at White Hart Lane on Sunday, said: "I'd never dive.

 

"I'd like to think of myself as an honest player. That's the way I play. I don't like diving, football doesn't need it."

 

I really dont know why him and Gerrard always say s**** like this, just makes it worse when they do dive
