didnt go to Bolton today, as no one else was going and didnt really fancy treking out on my own, so watched it on telly, and when it was over went to the mouthwatering clash of Prescot Cables Vs Marine in the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup. after parting with £14 for the privalege of me and the lass getting in, £7 a piece is a bit f***ing steep like, we joined the 400 or so other headcases with too much time on their hands to watch teh game. after a completely dour first half where there wasn't a single shot on target, the 2nd half was a little brighter. Prescot had a good spell, but it wasnt till th hour mark whne they had their first shot on goal. it wa 10 minures before the end, when a Bramblesque challenge on a Marine striker resulted in a peno which wa scored, and 5 miinutes later the Crosby men scored again. Prescot pulled one back in the last minute, but it finished 2-1 to Marine. good laugh, decent afternoons entertainment, Prescots stand is better than the Bullens. the squaw took some pics as Will wasnt there, and i might get these uploaded later. :D

I went to watch Halesowen vs Chasetown in the 2nd qualifying round as well. Got in for free with my Mrs because I know a Halesowen player.

My mate Simon Forsdick scored the first with a great opportunistic header. Chasetown are in a league below but were controlling the game quite well. Chasetown equalised half way through the second half but then foolishly had a player sent off. It looked like it would end up being a 1 all draw as Halesowen couldn't break down Chasetown but then the assistant manager came on for Halesowen and scored a great header from a corner. Another sub grabbed another with a Baros-esque run on the counter attack before calmly slotting it over the advancing keeper.

On they march. 2 more rounds until a football league match!

I went to Bolton and wish i hadn't.

Do they still have those two w@nkers running on the pitch waving flags when they score? It's a pretty tacky experience, what with them, the mascot, the fireworks etc. etc. Seems to make losing that much more galling.

Having said that, it's a nice stadium although a bit on the small side.

Yes they f***ing well do, and the t*** with the drum can f*** off as well.

Only good thing about yesterday was the fact that we got a train within 15 mins of the end of the match.

That's one of the advantages of leaving early...

Highlights from Telford V Halesowen (FA Cup 1st Qual Round). The highlights from the 2nd Qual Round should be up soon.

Worth a watch. My mate is number 11 - he's the one that gets the lad sent off for the horrid tackle near the centre circle:

Also, the lad who scores the 4 goals (one a beautiful free kick, the final one a run from his own half with the keeper struggling to get back from a corner!) won player of the round and got 2 tickets to the FA Cup Final plus other stuff. Pretty cool.
