CHRed Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I know over the years with have not had a decent record at their ground but after watching them at Portsmouth on the tele, their football is awful. We really need to start showing our class and putting this excuse of a football team and their bully boy tactics in their place. Davies, Diuof - can't stand these players and their other no skill players. I am mean Campo must be 38 now? I would like to see this team in a 3-5-2 formation which could become 5-3-2 is needed. Riena Carragher Hyppia Agger Finnan Alonso Sissoko Riise Gerrard (free role) Crouch Bellamy I hope we win 4-1 and leave FAT SAM with no excuses
Benitez Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 4-1? I'd be delighted if we scraped a 1-0 with the goal being an OG bouncing in off Kevin Davies fat a*** from a scrambled corner. They don't lose often at home.
Bootle Buck Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Bolton always seem to cause us problems. They are very physical and well organized. It might take the odd moment of brilliance from Garcia to undo them.
johngibo YPC Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 (edited) no real point playing 3 centre halves as they are only playing one up front. I would match them up 451/433 and play Reinafinnan carra Agger Riise Momo AlonsoGarcia Gerrard Gonzalez Kuyt may even be tempted to play Bellamy wide Edited September 27, 2006 by johngibo YPC

Would be tempted to play Pennant on the right tho.
johngibo YPC Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Looks good to me! Would be tempted to play Pennant on the right tho. maybe in a 442 but Garcia suits that formation more IMO, and is playing boss at the moment
Jim Price Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I always think if we can match them physically, we should win the game. Unlucky not to win there last season when we more than matched them physically, and the season before that we had a good goal disallowed, so due some good fortune.
Cooldude Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Biggest problem when you play against them is their ability to completely drag their opposition to their level, and make you play as s*** as they do Arsenal's struggled big time against them, too. Teams that try to play football struggle against Bolton coz those c**** don't allow you to play football with their blatant cheating and hoofing Bellamy has to start and we'll have to be as bitchy and moany as they are to scrap a 1-0 or something
Armin_Tamzarian Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 The fullbacks are the weak link, a good chance to play Bellamy and Gonzalez. Get at Nicky Hunt, he's not playing particularly well. Likewise if they play Ben Haim on the left as although he's an excellent defender he's not comfortable there. I would definitely play Crouch for this one, he will draw fouls which we can exploit. I'd play 4-5-1 with the two wingers to ensure we're not out manned in midfield and Gerrard dropping off Crouch.
Guest Cameron Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Bolton are a tough side to play against, normally a draw over there wouldn't be the worst result in the world but since we're already playing catch up with Chelsea, we need a result. I think we can scrape a win, it's wishful thinking to believe we can go there and slaughter them - hardly any team manage to walk over Bolton at their ground. I think we can get a win, but it will be scrappy and hard fought.
psl Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Would be so great to hammer them. Can't stand the b******s. One of Diouf or Anelka is bound to score though.
Stew F Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Gonzalez injured?Woulnt surprise me, he seemed to pull up when SG put a perfectly good ball down the line for him on Wednesday, then spent a few minutes limping and holding his hammy.
Rimbeux Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Woulnt surprise me, he seemed to pull up when SG put a perfectly good ball down the line for him on Wednesday, then spent a few minutes limping and holding his hammy. ankle says the echo
Elisha_Scott Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Reina SF JC DA JAR JP MS BZ SG PC CB I think.
Serko Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Reina SF JC DA JAR JP MS BZ SG PC CB I think. If that's the players I would have thought Gerrard would be in the middle and Zenden on the left.
Big G Superhero Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Or Stevie's on the left to rip Nicky Hunt a new a****** as Armin hinted at. Surprised Sami's not starting to resist the aerial onslaught, although saying that, might need Agger's pace against Anelka. Gonzalez went over on his ankle chasing down a ball near the end of the match on Wednesday. Tried to run it off, but couldn't do much when Gerrard passed him the ball. He tapped it straight back to Gerrard looking to get rid, who then 1-2'd it straight back to him and went on a run
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Garcia is too much of a lightweight for this horrible bunch. We need strength, power, pace, smarts, distribution (ie resorting to long ball when they park the bus), and the Momo-matic (set to Heavy Duty). ReinaFinnan Carra Agger RiiseGerrard Alonso Sissoko ZendenKuyt Bellamy Dudek, Pennant, Hyypia, Aurelio, Crouch.

Big G Superhero Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 (edited) f***in hell that was close, just managed to change my Yahoo FF team in time, from Crouch to Kuyt... surprised the big man's not starting, although being robbed may have something to do with that? Guest Sabre Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Reina FinnanCarraAggerRiise GerrardZendenSissokoGonzalez KuytBellamy Honest question - why do you always post your own team when it's an hour to kick off and people will be interested to see the ACTUAL TEAM and you don't even say, "this is what I think the team should be"? You're really quite odd.
