Absolutely no decision to be made - watch the Mancs and root for Benfica like you've supported them all your life! I love watching United and Everton more than anyone after our games, simply for the enjoyment of supporting the other side...

narr, don't fancy that one. I don't really watch the other Brit teams in CL games unless it's a really big game, cos I get too see too much of them teams as it is!

And I don't like Benfica enough to be that arsed ;)

the mancs win too often for it to be fun watching them. When they lose, it's feckin great, but it's not worth the pain if they win.

I avoided the 99 ECF, just in case. The misery of the possibility of seeing them win outweighed the joy of the possibility of seeing them lose.

I don't have nightmares, unlike many

17 mins Clive Tyldesley is trying to claim that some of United's players lack experience. Given that all 11 are full internationals, eight of them were at the World Cup this summer, and two of them - Neville and Scholes - are in the top 10 all-time Champions League appearance list, it's not easy to disagree.

RM 2 up :hmm: Was hoping for an 'upset', looks like it ain't gonna happen

Watching the mancs now, quite enjoyable, they're having a torrid time of it, but no score yet. Perhaps Wooney will see red, that'll be fun!

tonight I have not picked a good game like last time :hmm: Got the Steaua v Lyon game on. Not exactly of the best quality as yet. Lyon have loads of possesion, but only had a couple decent long range efforts to show for it.

HEH! I mockered a goal out of that game, Lyon 1 up now, Fred making the most of a goalie fec up.

Half-time Ferdinand, who's commanded the Untied defence expertly, heads clear as the ref blows for half-time. That has been United's worst half of the season so far, and there were two pretty good candidates for that title in the match against Arsenal. Give me a moment while I pull my thoughts together before explaining where they're going wrong...

right, been watching the manc game and a manc mate has asked me to give him updates regularily.... the best he got was at one point 'you got it over the halfway line'

When Rooney is off his game he is REALLY off his game... how can someone as good as he is play as poor as he is? Its not fitness surely? He was back for the World Cup unfit, but has had plenty of time since to get back. I think its something deeper down... I would love it to last all season. The fickle fans would be calling for him to leave.

Ronaldo is making a t** of himself... and for him to have a go at another player for diving is unbelievable... Why does he run like hes trying to shake a bag of hamsters out of his a***? Hope Benfica get the lead and win they deserve. Simao is getting everywhere on that pitch..

and thank f*** we didn't get Vidic....

It's amazing really, without Rooney ManU look really poor. How that team got off to such a good start is amazing. Lets hope Rooney is still off his game when we meet um.

Saw the manc V a*** game and Rooney was complete garbage.

Saw the Monkey first half - The Jam could have had 5 players sent off.

Dirtiest team in Europe ™

Sadly Benfica look like they wouldn't score if givin 500 shots at an empty net.

Totally outplayed the cheating, diving fouling Mancs and are behind for their troubles.

Ronaldo really is the biggest f***ing diver on the planet.

Even the Portuguese think he's a c***.

Is this the first game where 2 presenters have w***ed off on air?

My Wish for Christmas; That Ronaldo breaks his f***ing scrawny little legs.

t***.

From the reaction of the Benfica coach - I think he's going to have 7 or 8 of them castrated at full time

Quite right too.

The Scum miss three times from half a yard.

Tiddlesley still going on about Saha's superb / sensational / wonderful goal.

It was deflected, you fatheadedmanct***

couldn't believe that... and Pleat is saying it may have taken a slight deflection on the way.... there was no may about it.. Lampard would have applauded that one for f*** sake... The keeper was about 2 foot two low on the attempt at the save... the deflection took it past him.
