On Bellamy leaving the pitch:

"Thats the way you should leave the field, with some applause for the fans, and them clapping back. Of course it didn't always used to be like that, it was just the players who crapped the clouds...."

Also he gets players mixed up so many times he just seems to be guessing their names sometimes. Think he's properly going senile!

my fave was how the commentary was mute when the first two goals crashed in, like Pleat was in mourning and couldn't bear it.

The second goal, before the replay, Pleat said "watch Gerrard here"...and went quiet when he realized Luis got the assist instead...or maybe he was praising the England man for not getting in the play. Pleat tends to really pat the Brits on the back a bit much for my liking.

I like Pleat, his commentary isn't bad like Andy Gray or Marewood, it's just bad because he gets confused and it ends up being hilarious.

I like Pleat. He's improved alot I think. But can certainly come across an old woman at times...

he was whittering on about Spurs doing the double over us in 1986 or something, when they didn't anyway

Yes he's an old man and gets things wrong (don't we all???), but I think he is very fair and quite likes us, he is one of the better ones IMO.

His problem is senility/Alzheimers. Unlike the rest whose problem is they are complete morons
