I spent 15 minutes arguing with a Manc and a Geordie wether is was a great goal or not. Both said it was easy without a keeper and I kept saying it was a great goal with Harper being a bit guilty.

Damn I hate arguing with Mancs and Geordies.

I'm also drunk.

But what a GOAL from Xabi!!!

Btw... The Geordie and the Manc are to score from the half way line in an empty goal on saturday. Just a little bet .... no way they're gonna make it!

Glad that the forum is working again - nice to see my thread title in use too :)

Xabi's last three goals for us have been scored from an average distance of 55 yards

Quarterback stylee.

Odd tonight. There was a number of times when various parts of the ground thought the ball was going in and yet the second Xabi hit it everyone KNEW that it was going in - it didn't matter where Harper was and no-one knew he would slip.

I like how he ran with the ball a bit tonight. The midfield were all very good tonight getting up to support the attack. It makes a welcome change from the sporadic play of late.

Xabi plays well = Liverpool play well

He's just as if not more important to us than Gerrard

Agreed. Just in different ways which is even better because they both bring different things to the team.

I wonder if he was practicing this with Pepe recently cos he turned and ran straight to him, and it looked like Pepe was already there as well. They well enjoyed it anyway

so does that mean his last 2 goals for us have been from around 120yards combined? and is that more than the total yardage of Van Nistelrooy's goals for man utd?
