To be playing?

Anfield, new stadium or a shared stadium?

I think both clubs will still be at there "respective" grounds, maybe an extra tier on the Park End or Anfield Rd here and there, I dunno.

Anyhow, in the end Tranmere will win.

We'll be in the new stadium in Stanley Park. Everton will be in Goodison Park.

Is the right Answer.

Shared Stadium on Stanley Park

Would require the scrapping of the existing bid and permissions and the formulating of an entirely new project plan, obtaining of permissions and an even bigger overhaul of the Transport and support infrastructure - plus Everton coming up with half the dosh. On top of that - where's the regeneration project?

Won't happen - those who advocate or fear it are not looking properly at the logistical nightmare it would become before a plan could even be submitted. It would also take at least another ten years to get anywhere.

Ground wise I'd expect us to be in a new stadium on Stanley Park and Everton to be at Goodison. (It will still have the same old obstructed views, but it might be rebranded 'Tesco Goodison' in honour of Leahy).

As far as standing in the game is concerned, we will add 2 Prem titles and one more European Cup in ther next five years and will continue to compete at the top end for all the big prizes.

Everton will continue to yo-yo between possible UEFA Cup place and relegation scare, though you may add a domestic cup over the next few years with a fair wind.

with the blue half of the Council behind it i think we might be surprised how quickly any obstacles could be overcome

A Ground share does not necessarily have to be 50/50 either

We'll be playing in a 61,000 capacity new Anfield on Stanley Park in the city of Liverpool, Everton will be playing in a 50-55,000 capacity stadium with a built in supermarket in neighbouring Knowsley.

So why would anyone go into a groundshare paying more than their partner? It doesn't matter if blues on the council want it as they have already given permission to OUR ground - arethey going to cough up the money? So who will? Us paying for Everton? I don't think so...

simple - they pay a rent too, a % of their gate.

New Anfield for us. Buckley Hill for you.

Ah good old Buckley Hill, I played a few games there as an up and coming young fooballer.

One of the geographical oddites of The World - the place of eternal strong winds, never ceasing, often in total contradiction to the weather elsewhere.

Everton will defend the Bush end in the second half. It is a BYOC stadium (Bring Your Own Chair) and will have a capacity of 345.

Even during the summer and no rain the place was still a mud bath. My mum used to hate me laying there as my kit was always completely covered in mud. Persil should have made all their commercials there. The other oddity was you were always playing uphill even when you turned around at half time.

Ha ha - so true.

I used to dread playing there, bloody miles from Wavertree where I'm from to get battered by gale force winds and wade knee deep through mud. The worst thing was every team North of Allerton seemed to play there!

Our manager once brought that same picture you've just posted when we met up before a game on Buckley Hill! :)
