Last Season we won once in 6 Games, It was all over...Apparently....We had a phase were none of our strikers could score in a all female workplace...

Rafa will get it right, we have a squad with depth so strong it makes the a***, the mancs and chelsea look like fools...

Granted the losses and performances this season have been against teams we don't want to lose against but at the end of the day its 3 points, the only hurt we feel is entirely in the gut in the head the position is the same...

Chelsea Lost One

Man Utd Lost One

Liverpool Lost Two

Arsenal Lost One

We have a game in hand over them all apart from the a***...

We have yet to play the mancs, and the a*** and we need yet to play the chavs at home...

Granted their is no space for error but Rafa will get it right, I can gurantee you Chelsea will lose again, Arsenal will lose alot more, Mancs will lose a few more as well, This title is ours for the taking starting next game we need to get our head right and play with the fluency and enjoyment we seen last season..

Last season we only had 10 points after the first 8 games and still managed to finish on 82 points. Anyone who is saying we are out of the title race is a lunatic.

Im not that downbeat at present like some people on here and if we win our next two matches which are at home then i also may be saying we will win the league.

Which cost us the league, or a very real chance at winning the league.

We can't start as badly every season and rely on two exceptional unbeaten runs during the season, we need to start winning games and grinding out results from the start of the season.

We need an unbeaten run, starting at Newcastle, to take us into the next 'big' game against Utd on the 22nd Oct, if we can break our poor form against the big teams and get a result we'll be back on track.

Ant, you don't take after your father much, do you! :D

Good post BTW

Father in name only, I'm sending him for a blood test tomorrow.

I dont think were good enough to win the league. sorry.

It's still a bit early to say but I feel we will have trouble scoring goals again.

I wouldn't say lunatic, you're forgetting that after 8 games last season some of the bookies payed out on chelsea winning the league... also remember that it took an unbelievable run of form to catch up.

Im not saying we won't do it again , we do have a much better squad if you ask me... however I don't think anyone can be called mad for saying it's all over...

i'm sticking by my view that chelsea and the mancs will drop a good few more points this season than last, but we're going to need to get our s*** together pretty quickly and go on a bit of a run. we look lacking in belief right now.

agree. to win the league we need a bunch of players that truly believe we can win it and yesterday was proof enough that we don't have that. not by a long way. the lack of purpose and genuine belief displayed yesterday is far more worrying than our results.

Out next bunch of games are vital:

Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur

Bolton Wanderers

Blackburn Rovers

4 difficult games. But if we take 12 points from these we are back on track. Can we take 12 points from these games?

I don't think so. 9 or 10 maybe. I remember people being criticised for saying they'd take 4 from away games at Everton and Chelsea.

Listening to Monkey Boy yesterday, you'd have thought it was April. Basically writing us off and saying Arsenal - a whopping point infront of us - were back in the race.

it's f***ing embarrassing. and hugely disrespectful to the team who are top of the league without a goal conceded in five games.

I don't agree with that on any level.

Liverpool had the chances to win the game - and only a wonder goal that you probably won't see again for a very long time gave the home team an edgy win over us.

I thought we looked like a team with two new strikers who haven't quite good used to playing with each other and their midfielders yet.

Strange that.

Apart from that I was hugely encouraged with our best away performance (although not result) at Stamford Bridge for years.

aye, we had the chances to win but we did not take them. It was only very late in the day that the team seemed to sense that the game was ours for the taking. There were many positives yesterday, we kept Shevchenko quiet for a start, but from the first whistle to the last I fely our main wekness was a lack of absolute conviction that we could beat chelsea on their home patch. Just my opinion but for me the captains body language betrayed that lack of conviction for large chunks of the first hour.

And we've got Gala at home next week.
