Is that Ballack's penalty? On Sky Sports News they showed 45 seconds of that...unbelievably.

Posted

It was, probably, the best penalty i have ever seen

He smashed it from 12 yards. Was as likely to hit the bar or go over it than in the place it went. Unsaveable, good peno but a good goal? Get to feck!

you can say about any goal then

What! How do you compare a goal with a sublime piece of skill or a set of passes that most people wouldn't be capable of to smashing the ball from 12 yards, something which we can all do?

ridiculous. he just t****** it and hoped, could just as easily have flown into the stand.

best penalty ever is zidane's in this summer's world cup final. balls, vision, technique and immense pressure.

Completely ruined by his panic appeal to the ref to check with the linesman that it crossed the line, unfortunately.

ok then Gerrards goal in the FA cup final. He has admitted it was a hit and hope. So because he "just smashed it" and it "was as likely to hit the bar or go over than the place it went" then its not a great goal?

And how do you know where Ballack aimed his penalty for anyway?

And why on earth are you getting so angry about who sky put in there top 6 European goals????

who gives a s***?

At what stage is my anger evident? I don't give a rats ass, it was an observation.

Ps. Gerrards was last minute, FA cup final when everyone was dead on their feet and the game looked lost. Moving ball, 15 bodies in fron, 10 of which were trying to stop it going in. Ask Cobs about aiming ;). The more pace you put on the less specific the target. I'm no world star, but I bet he smashed it high and a bit to the right.

no point in speaking to sean about this - he can't spot a fluke from 40 yards

damn, it's a fair point. i'd forgotten about that.

Regardless of whether it was a good penno - so was Owen's against Argentina in WC98 - it's a free kick, from 12-yards, with only the keeper to beat, who's not allowed to move off his line before the ball's kicked.

That's like saying 'what a punch' as Mike Tyson knocks a 12-year old clean out

It was a good penalty, however, I saw the lyon goal when the lad lobbed the keeper from about 20 yards, excellent finish, BUT not as good as the penalty

Still pissed off the pen was given in the first place.

Defender may have touched dogpoo who threw himself on the ground complete with star jump. Sky w*** them selves stonewall pen. Like hell in was the only stonewall was dogpoo would dive.

But sky are so far up chelsea a*** they love everything they do. They perpetuate the theory that they are the worlds best at everything and all there players are the very best in the world at their position.
