Just when you think there cant be a bigger ass in football than Ashley Cole

He certainly has the biggest chin. Lazy mofo, too.

He was brillliant when Werder Bremen won the title a few years ago - I couldn't believe that little barrel was the top scorer in Gemany that year, he looked about 3 stone overweight.

He's a quality striker on his day, but It went pear-shaped at Schalke for him and he's moved around a few times since then.

so the replies in this thread are just going to ignore JB's actions and not even comment on them?

Right we all know he's a c*** and don't need reminding of them etc. That's ok apparently?? I don't agree. Be it a male or female steward, but footballer has the right to 'throw his weight around'..

But I'm so sick of women getting stick at matches, and women officials now getting the same reaction...

I wish to see women being afford the same rights as male supporters, and beyond this, female officials being afforded the same respect and rights as male officials.

it can happen....if we work towards it )

Agree completely - Barton is a turd - glad we never bought him.

If Barton did that then obviously he is totally out of order, but I don't agree at all that this is representative of football in general.

From personal experience of holding a season ticket and countless matches, to say women have a rough time of it at the game is absolute crap. I can't honestly remember anyone giving women in the crowd stick just for being a woman, ever. I've been with my partner plenty of times and there's never been one single abusive incident towards her, people wouldn't put up with it.

And if a woman is an official, do you honestly expect people in the crowd to not say anything potentially lacking political correctness? Every referee and linesman comes in for abuse, so a woman taking on the job can expect exactly the same.

I mean what do you expect:

'I say - that official was incorrect in her offside decision, however as she is of female gender, I shall refrain from making a point of it'.

FFS.

Or alternatively, they could just stay home and do the ironing.

The fact that the steward was female is totally irrelevant.

Not true. The gender of the steward is particularly important based upon your level and direction of indignation towards those who think its irrelevant.
