Destroyed us on Saturday. Was always going to be a great signing for Everton.

Hyypia eventually stopped trying to tackle him and just resorted to shoulder barges and obstruction.

Can we buy Sami some new boots which make him run a bit faster?

we do seem to struggle at present against sides with nippy strikers. watching sami turn like the QE2 against fast forwards is becoming agonising.

Painfully slow isnt he, could hear the beep when he turned to run after johnson!

Aggertime?

It may well be getting that way.

I know Aurelio is giving Sami some extra work to do but i dont think you can put all the blame at Aurelios positioning.

Any team with a quick strikers will just isolate Sami all game.

It does seem to be used more frequently against us, so the way to counteract is surely to play a more mobile CB?

Really think Agger has to play from now on

Considering the way he destroyed Drogba last time 'round, would hope he'd start against Chelsea

Though Aurelio is still very much a problem. Everton clearly set out to target him

From what Isaw, it was Sami targeting him

He's effective, but has little ability. He's a younger duncan disordely and was always going to do well in a team of everton's style.

He would struggle in a big club and should be nowhere near the England team.

Not that I'm sure they care.

He'll break his neck at some stage during the season doing that Michael-Thomas-celebration-style penalty dive he does.

Going on my Deathlist for 2007.

He's a good player - wouldn't have minded if he'd signed for us.

As I was saying on the day - Moyes is a decent manager with little money that has done well for Everton.

How much did Johnson cost again?

Let's keep a sense of perspective. Granted he got two goals, but I'd have got both of them and I haven't played for over 20 years. And it's not as if he was peppering our goal with shots all afternoon. He got a couple of gifts from appalling blunders by our players, nothing more, nothing less. Then he failed to have any other attempts.

But Jesus only performed a few miracles during his lifetime, its not as if he constantly tried to performed mircales, just kept it safe with a few ;)

so a striker has two attempts, scores with both but did nothing other than that? fkin 'ell.. what more would you want him to do like? if only our forwards took a leaf out of Johnson's book, eh?

I'd say that he gambled on both - didn't give up and his perseverance got its rewards.

I'd also say he caused us problems all day

He is a good player - not sure how anyone could argue he isn't.

Right so let me try to understand this - Carra f*cked up for Johnson's first goal, Reina f*cked up for his second, but its Hyypia's fault he scored twice.

Bizarre, yes Hyypia is slow but that had nothing to do with any of the damage Johnson did to us on Saturday. Carra was awful on Saturday - yes we all love him but he's not beyond criticism you know.

Johnson is a good little player, excellent signing for Everton. He's quick, sharp, works hard and is and a good finisher.

Note the time and date Anders, I agree with you. He's a smashing player, full of endeavour and can obviously finish. Went short and linked play well and wasn't afraid to run in behind our defensive line.

Carra was also indirectly at fault for their first aswell, as his positioning forced Finnan to move across to cover.

And yes, Johnson is an excellent forward. One of the few of his height that can play the lone-striker role very effectively.
