didn't another deal collapse a few years ago, becasue they were a few minutes late. Something to do with the fax being delayed, because the lines were busy

Multi million deals frequently involve several 40 page plus contracts which take time to prepare and fax. They got an extension because the deals were concluded within the deadline but couldn't be faxed in their entirety in the allowed period. A sensible decision by the FA I reckon.
