well well well

As the line in Goodfella's goes "Everybody takes a beating sometime".....

Not nice though is it...I had a bad feeling about yesterday all week, I knew they would be bang up for it, and I thought some of our key players would struggle..Crouch because of the hype, Gerrard always seems to struggle the game after internationals...Garcia and esp Xabi getting spanked in Belfast.......

I was surprised by his team yesterday.....but I dont see the players day in day out and I dont know what state they were in when they got back to melwood......but I was shocked to see Xabi, Carra and Momo play...esp with Eindhoven on Tues........but as I said, the manager sees the players .........

As for that f***ing place....I truly truly hate thet s***hole.....for a start its full of w*****s....you cant see anything on the right hand side Gwladys St end from the lower bullens....the big screen showing the game whilst it is taking the place is a pain and the announcer is a w*****....

Anyway....it was an odd game.....we played ok in places, but as soon as we got any momentum something kicked us in the b******s.....all the goals were soft for different reasons.....the first all of our defence seems to go missing, there was still a foul on Xabi mind.....the second Cahill commits an assault and gets away with it and Carra comes up with the type of howler you would not associate with him.....the third...well what can you say...I can see that his momentum was taking him in the net, but why didnt he launch it?? who knows...a great end to a great day

and as for those w*****s....stood outside the Arkles after...with cars going past with grown men in them shouting abuse.....d****eads...

With the exception of Momo and maybe Finnan the rest of them need to have a long hard look at themselves...we didnt deserve to lose 3-0 and in patches we were the better team, with a bit more luck we could have even got something..hitting the post twice, should have had one maybe two penos, two freak goals........but all in all we let them bully us out of playing, and if it somes to a fight we are not going to win.......we fell straight into there hands.....

anyway, lets hope we bounce back on Tuesday and Sunday.....

Just about sums it up although it was Finan got assaulted by Osman for the first goal, Xabi was the second, Cahil held him down in a headlock for quite a while, just to make sure he couldn't get up until the restart. Meanwhile that c*nt Poll struts around with that stoopid f*cking grin on his face.

Don't start me off again ....

Thats where we lost it. Most of the lads were not up for it.

come on lads! We didn't loose it because of the Ref! We lost it because of 3 personal faults

It really was a lower-league experience. From the two turnstiles marked "home fans only" to the rickety shed of a ground including toilets like Barnsley or somewhere.

Then their fans. I can't believe it's the same City. The obvoius "Murderers" and Michael Shields songs are pitiful enough but all the Nationwide stuff. Easy chants, "Who are ya" and the Middlesbrough tune for Andy Johnson.

That's why it's so important not to let these things creep in at Anfield. We need to stay a class apart from these Soccer AM beauts.

Got outside at 12:30, got in the f***in heap of a ground at 13:05.

As soon as i got in after what happened and saw the team, I knew it was going to be a bad day. 2-0 was bad enough but 3-0 is disgraceful. I'm 44 going on 45 and never seen us get beat that bad by them.

Don't start me off again ....

I put myself through the pain again last night and he really was terrible ( as were his assistants )

Several major decisions :

1 ) Osman on Finnan. Leg went straight across Finnan, not making contact with the ball and knocking Finnan off balance. Foul.

2 ) Cahill on Finnan - how the **** is that not a booking ? Marwood said Cahill had every right to go for the ball. Well, Cahill knew exactly what he was doing, the ****.

3 ) Cahill on Xabi. Xabi might have been half a dozen of the other but he was held down by Cahill after the tussle - foul.

4 ) Yobo on Hyypia. At least twice Yobo tried to pull Hyypia's shirt off and Poll spoke to him about it. Why speak to him ? It's a ****ing foul. You don't speak to players when they've just dived in and taken someone's kneecaps off. " Excuse me, Roy, but could you stop stamping on Alfe Inge's shins ? I might have to blow my whistle if you continue "

Our defence had one of their worst games in years but we did not deserve to lose 3-0.

I hope Hackett looks at Poll's performance because it carried on from his World Cup debacle.

Finnan should have done a lot better on the first goal, he was too weak.

He did nothing wrong, the ones who were at the wrong were the three defenders to the left of him. Finnan should be marking Tim Cahill and taking care of far post at that situation, but Sami and Carra got sucked in to the left side and Finnan had no choice but to clean up the far post, where Carra should've been.

He was fouled, too. He was the only decent player outta the entire shambles that was the back four yesterday

Osman came in from the side... He just never saw it coming..

Gerrard should've been covering Cahill. If the back four shifts over like that then the right sided player covers the full back, its basic tactics..

Poll was the wrong ref for that game. He fannys around too much, a zero tolerance lad would've suited it better.

I'm not talking about his positioning, I'm talking about how easily he was knocked off the ball. He should have been a lot stronger, especially against Osman

I forgot though, he's one of the untouchables, along with Carra and Gerrard and can't be questioned. If only he was Spanish.

I was out all day and didn't get back to the car till long after the match. When I switched on the radio I knew immediately that we'd had a bad loss because I was greeted by the dulcet tones of the Widow Tw***y Kenwright. For being cringeworthy he cannot be beaten. The last time I heard him speak was just before their first leg Champions League qualifier when, yet again, he was managing to hog the limelight from the manager and players. For those who criticize Moores - just look across the Park and remember that it could all be so much worse

Although it was Carragher making the more visible mistakes, I really think Sami has looked ponderous and, frankly, poor in almost every game so far this season. It's a process which has been going on for a while but has now reached the stage where he's just not up to the standard we need - I'd like to see Agger introduced in his place ASAP.

That's not to dismiss the contribution he made last season, but there is a threshold...you can just about remain on the right side of it and be a valuable performer, but once you cross the line and are past your best, there's a good chance you're suddenly not quite good enough anymore.

We weren't at the races. The best side on the day won. They took their chances - we didn't.

Even though I was there I saw the funny side with their third - you couldn't have made it up and it made sod all difference anyway.

We were pretty s**** as was the ref.

Ho Hum. Let's get over it - write it off as an off day and hopefully we'll improve a little in the next few games.

Sadly we are the s**** on Merseyside and after that performance we deserve to be.

Let's hope we t*** them at Anfield

Agreed. He's a great to have when teams are just pumping high long balls up to a big striker, but when there's the threat of pace, he's getting drawn out all over the place and looking very edgy.

I don't think Sami's helped by his partner at left back, Sami's constantly having to cover for Aurelio time and time again.

Aurelio had little cover from Garcia. Johnson and co were playing nice, triangulated moves to pull Aurelio and Hyypia around. Carra had to cover but also watch his side and also for Cahill and Arteta breaking forward as Xabi was having a poor game and Sissoko doing too much groundwork.

Johnson never let our defenders settle and he was getting too much help from midfield. In the first hald our defence was poor but the midfield weren't much better - Everton had far too much time.

We played well at times and dominated certain periods of the match but that was a game which last season we would have got at least a point from. This season Hyypia has started slowly, as have most of the players coming back from the World Cup ( and they've gone straight back into International football with a pointless friendly and then the EC qualifiers )

We should seriously consider putting in an offical complaint in regards to Poll`s performance yesterday. Their first two goals were the result of CLEAR fouls on our players and we had two stone wall penalties not given. The decision not to give a penalty for the handball was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen a referee take. What the hell did Poll think the ball touched when Hibbert slid in? It honestly defied belief.

We didn`t deserve to lose that game. Sure, we didn`t play exceptionally and Everton probably out fought us but all the key decisions went against us. That scoreline gives a very different impression of what the match actually was. I`m sick to my stomach thinking back to it.

Well....watching their third goal I'm not totally convinced

i was in the main stand yesterday - what a sh*ithole! £37 for a wooden seat with 2 pillars in front of me - I'd get a better view at Wrexham ffs!

When they scored the 3rd some ape turned round and started giving it the "get out of our f***in stand , you shouldn't be in here you w***a" so we gave it legs as him and his mates were obviously looking for the scrap that makes a Derby Day so great for them!

I was with 4 blues so we decided to go for a drink on County Road - not sure the pub but when we got there they had a flag with 'and we'll hang all the Kopites one by one' on it and pictures of LFC fans hanging from nooses underneath. Needless to say, I refused to go in and we all retreated into town.
