jfogarty Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 From last Fridays game between Bohemians and Drogheda
ManxRed Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 At first I thought maybe he didn't have a good view, but when you see it from behind the goal the ref was close enough to tap it in himself. Awful refereeing.
Coyler Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Was watching that match, that was shocking. Bohs came back to win 2-2, though. Members voted to accept that offer for Dalymount (?45 million + new stadium out beside the airport). No homelessness for Bohs and all players' kits nicely washed and pressed ...
Euphrates Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Plus in twenty seven years, there'll be a metro that could take you to the stadium.
johngibo YPC Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 pretty incompetent goalkeeping as well. But its more fun to have a go at refs. Even though his assistant probably gave it
Coyler Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Emmm, the incompetency of the ref and the assistant is what fabricated the goal -- it's more fun because it's the salient boo-boo. The goalkeeping, while not the coolest, resulted in the goalbound shot ball being diverted away to safety and allowed the defender to clear with no hassles. What else is he meant to do? The best is the angle from behind the goal that shows the ref at the edge of the box looking at the ball travelling parallel to and a yard from the goal line and then having to look over to the linesman. I reckon that he suddenly shrank to eight inches in height and experienced a depth imperception attack.
