how do you know that? did mourinho win the CL with porto only as a good motivator?

Mourinho's not s*** tactically, his Porto team was set up very well defensively and had Deco to make the goals (With a bit of luck from Mr lineman against Man Utd to win the CL, too), but Guus's team always plays a better brand of football with s***ter players at his disposal

 

Just my opinion that Guus would currently get more outta Chelsea than Mourinho would, even more so in Europe

First of all he has been a class act wherever he has managed. He gets the best out of his players and his players seem to really like him. He is a very humble guy who reminds me a lot of Rafa.

They're both great managers so there'd be very little difference.

 

Compare Mourinho now to when he first took over the job and he's been beaten down by the stres of the job. He's got more bitter and resentful as the success has come because it's been undermined and that get's to him. Ultimately Abramovich probbly wants a yes man or to change the set up at Chelsea to mirror Italy/Spain where the president picks the players and the manager is more a coach.

 

 

Mourinho is not a great tactician. He only has a very few team tactics he is able to play, much like Wenger. Opponents are finding this out and he is realising he isn't the special one he thinks he is. I half expected him to leave this last summer and will be surprised if he doesn't go next year.
