Snookie Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 How many times do you think Steve Staunton will end up with his head in his hands tomorrow? I'm guessing at least 3. I've got a bet with group of friends. One of them has put a tenner on him ending up doing it half a dozen times.
Gunga Din Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 what odds Ireland get thumped and its his last game in charge? Ireland havent been exploiting the granny rule enough recently, and that is their problem

However, if he went then the head of the FAI would also probably have to go as he staked so much on appointing him. You're right. I think its time for the grab a granny rule to be played properly again.
Andy @ Allerton Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 8-0 to whoever Ireland are playing! Hurrah! Nice to see the Sweaties beaten by France this evening an all
Dublinred4ever Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 We're capable of getting a draw tonight if everyone turns up and we start well. There'll be about 30,000 Irish in the ground tonight, the Germans are missing a good few players and the World Cup euphoria won't be there. Agree with the previous posts about exploiting the Granny rule, definitely need more quality then we're producing at home.

Maldini Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I was away for the weekend so missed the match. What was the story with him standing behind the interviewer while he was talking to Houghton?
