from the BBC gossip page: Several Premiership clubs are talking about bringing in end-of-season play-offs which could see the club finishing sixth winning the title. (Sunday Express)

 

i saw Bison Head Woolnough hold up a paper showing a headline of Premiership Play Offs on Jimmy Hill's show this morning.. i thought it was just a reprisal of something that was bandied about ages ago whereby (iirc) the team finishing 3rd or 4th bottom of the Premiership would play the runner up of the Championship play-off final for a place in the Premiership (or something along those lines anyway)..

 

but no, seems not..

 

surely to God this couldn't happen could it?? no way.. imagine the barney if there was a play-off final for the Premiership title between us and the Mancs? there'd be murder! it could never happen............ could it?

i know.. i know.. just saw that on the BBC site and it reminded me that i didnt look into what that headline was all about.. anyway, i am sure that there will be someone on here who thinks it's a good idea!
