Yep he was utter garbage. Linesman was no better there must have been 5 50/50 decisions and everyone went their way.

Pretty sure Bellamys goal was level, and level at least one other time, I thought the advantage went with the attacker?

What happened to the 'daylight' directive? If that still exists then on most, if not all, there was no daylight between him and the defender.

The Bellamy goal was on the only offside decision he got right.

what about when Bellamy nicked the ball from the defender & was through? He was hauled down & we didn't even get a FK. Haven't seen a replay, but it looked a certain red card to me

That was a disgrace. A red would have been harsh as there was another defender, but I doubt he'd have got across to get to Bellamy before he shot, but the FK and at least a yellow were inarguable. How he missed it is beyond me.

he was rubbish.

And the rubbish thing is - we wheren't meant to get him today. It's all the fault of Ben Thatcher's fore-arm smash. The ref we where meant to get, had to take over Gallagher's match - cos he was dumped for being so crap in that Man City - Pompey game.

Not giving a pen for the shirt tugging on Crouch was ridiculous.

And when Bellamy streaked past Ferdinand in the secondhalf, Ferdie grabbed his arm and pulled him back. Wiley didn't notice - again.

I thought the match had late equaliser for them written all over it after seeing some of the stuff we didnt get off Wiley and his gang of c****. Very good sign though that despite some dreadful reffing decisions, a team missing a lot of key players, a midweek trip to Ukraine, a goal behind we still managed to win. Bodes well.

He was an utter disgrace.

Booked Fabio for a tackle then Bowyer two footed Sami and he got away with it.

Then dived when being challenged by Pennant.

The 2 linesman were s**** as well in fact one of them was fatter than me!!

utter crap. A piss game to officiate & he was shocking. 17-6 FKs in WH's favour, booked Aurelio when he appeared to get the bell & not Bowyer when he didn't. Gave us absolutely nothing

Aurelio deserved the yellow card. Bad tackle. Agree with the rest though.

Wiley is an awful referee. We should have had Andre Marriner but he got moved to cover for Dermot Gallagher.

He is a piss poor referee.

i thought wham's second should have stood to be fair

The whistle had gone well before, Reina had stopped, as had the defence (not that they were catching up) and TBH he was lucky not to get a booking for playing on.

Checked the replays tonight - despite the ex-hammer co-commentator's bias, both the bellamy goal and two of Kuyt's runs were clearly onside. Still wondering how Bowyer wasn't booked for the 'tackle' on Sami.

Poor ref and over-eager linesman.

From the replay Bellamy's goal was clearly just offside (this "daylight" rule people think exists being a fiction) and was the correct decision. Other than that the ref and linesman were rubbish. For Bowyer's chance in the second half there was a clear offside in the build up (when Reina went ballistic) and the linesman, all of 5 yards away, didn't see it.
