"When you are moving in the transfer market, the last thing you want is to be panicked or pressured close to a deadline."

I know he explains things in a bit more detail throughout the article, but I did have to laugh at that sentence at the beginning given last summer's events.

did anyone check out yesterdays shirt and tie combo :lol::lol:

a hideous red and white check shirt with a black tie. David Moores wants to have a word.

looked like a f***ing picnic blanket that thing did.

I posted about that on TLW forum as i wathced the interview after the CL draw..

All the chief execs of the English were interviewd and looked real dapper dans.

Then along came Parry with his table cloth shirt and tie that didn't match.

That man needs a bit of a Trinny & Suzannah makeover.

Dire dress sense for a man earning enough to buy the best clothes money can buy.

I'm always slightly more convinced by CEO's and the like who make it 'big' but don't do'big' with Saville Row this and Burlington Arcade that. Parry drives a good Mercedes, David Dein has a top of the range Bentley (company car?) driven for him.

Parry's crappy dress sense (who am I to point fingers?) and wiry hair I find reassuring in it's basic humanity compared to the slick, mahogany-skinned, silk-suited, coiffured wide-boys of certain other clubs.

coiffure - the arrangement of the hair

Counts Kenyon out!

My missus has no interest in Footy and was sitting on the Sofa and caught a glimpse of Parry being interviewed. She said look at that guy with the table cloth on. I said it's Ok it's just the Chief Executive of Liverpool FC.

Last year my son (then 12)met Parry for a few minutes and said after that "he might look a mess but he was an ok fella" :)

You're right about the others. I didn't realise how much David Dein looks like that perma-orange t** off bargian hunt, David Dickinson. You never see the both of them in the same room together

David Gill looks like an ex army coporate yes man whilst Kenyon looks like a pointier Ross Kemp.

I don't think you have to be Saville Row attired or spend big money on clothes to get a tie to match a shirt to match a suit. Christ he could get an outfit that matches better down at George at Asda.

Only conclusion i can draw is maybe his missus buys his clothes for him?

'This time round we've secured all of our targets in every position highlighted by the manager, something that is really exciting and quite unusual'

Interesting statement by the usually careful and precise Parry. Daniel Alves was considered by many to be top or near the top of the target list. So if we have 'secured all of our targets for every position' ...

he didn't say "we've secured all our first choice targets" though.. i just felt that Rafa had targets for each position and we got one of those targets for each of those positions.. not necessarily the first choice target but one the manager wanted regardless..
