agger - looking good to fill in for carra

momo - tireless. get well soon!

crouch - did he put a foot wrong all night?

honourable mention for sami - composed as ever. pennant had some good moments. luis made a nuisance of himself, but should've put away at least two of his chances.

gonzo was disappointingly anonymous as an attacking force in the second half, but did at least do his tracking back duties

Agree with most of that.

No one agrees that Crouch was MOM though?

because he led the line really well, battled for every ball, linked up, occupied two of their players, scored and generally played an excellent forward's european match. you're entitled to your opinion of course. . .

I agree - a bit surprised he's not mentioned more. We've just got used to him being good I suppose.

Basically ran the game and didn't give their midfield a seconds peace.

Shocked to see Sami getting some votes, he looks slower than ever since the start of the season, when we were under pressure I thought he looked well shakey. Crouch was great, but again I thought some of our passing was poor. Alonso for one isn't at the standard we have become used to yet. It will be good to see Stevie playing central to give us some real drive at the weekend.

Have to agree with that. Sami looked very slow last night in my opinion...

I though Alonso was good though, and thought that Gonzalez was excellent in the first half, before he seemed to tire.

1 - Agger

2 - Crouch

3 - Finnan (We miss him so much when he aint playing)

The team still look like they are in pre-season mode at the moment to me though!!!

Was doing my head in how often he gave the ball away in the second half though, particularly when he kept trying to dribble at their players when there was a pass on to someone else.

However overall I thought he played well.

Agger

Crouch

Garcia

With special mention to Sissoko for another lung buster of a performance.

On the whole though a poor game, dis-jointed with some shocking defending.

1. Crouch (although as someone else has pointed out he did annoy on a couple of occasions last night when he tried to take on the defence when an easy pass was on)

2. Gonzales

3. Agger

...and worst of them all: Peter Crouch. Just a bean pole of waste space.

you been drinking meths?

-No off course not, it damages your health you know. I just sat down and watch a football match last night unlike most of you that apperently only read the papers focusing on the goalscorer (which by the way most certain was a Haifa player).

1.Crouch - tireless and lead the line single handed

2.Agger - Solid performance, slotting in well

3.Momo - get well soon lad, will be missed

special note for Pepe who kept us out of extra time with a fantastic save!
