Just watched the weekend's highlights.

1 - Rio's og. Never an og, but as it's him, I'll gladly allow the feckwit to keep it

2 -Andy Johnson's goal - it looked to be spooning wide, but hit the defender a nano-second later. Can see why he was credited with it, but as he's a blueshyte gimp, og

3 - francis (against the blueshyte gimps) commentator said it'd be credited as an og. No way

Other matters - blueshyte gimps penno - KINELL! Blind feckin lino. Fulham's keeper! On the ManUre payroll

Almost every goal Lampard scores seems to be deflected.

His goal tally for the season could be anywhere between 3 and 23 depending on the dubious goals panel, and the 3 definites are all penalties...

Andy Johnson's shot was going miles wide

And when I saw that goal, the first thing that sprang to mind was if it was Crouch scoring a goal like that, the press would immediately be on it and calling it an own goal and not allowing him have it.

Funnily enough I heard a load of mancs on the radio saying pretty much the same re Shrek and Scholes being banned for 3 games.

and for Browns challenge on Giggs yesterday, which even though I hate Brown I loved that bit of skill he showed... must be a new trick, look like you are going for the ball but actually stamp on the nearest bit of flesh you can find. Giggs trying to get revenge was hilarious... 'he stamped on me so I will just push him over'

all the Mancs on Redcafe were going on about Rooney would have been off straight away etc etc.... diddums.

I don't think I'm been paranoid.

Crouchs 1st goal against Wigan, everybody did all they could to take it off him when his initial shot was on target. His goal against Newcastle when it went in off the post - BBC and SKY dedicated about 5 miinutes of slow motion replays to see if it had hit Givens head on the way in, when it clearly hadn't. Yet Johnsons shot is very VERY clearly going wide before it hits a defender and goes in, and nothing is said?

It all depends on who is flavour of the month. For Gods sake, Rooney has a shot in the Euro Champs for England that hits the post, comes back out, hits the goaly in the head and goes in and the press are more then happy to give it to him. The stats for that game were laughable! Rooney : shots on target - 1, goals - 2. A joke.

the irony of this thread after our less than cast iron pen is unbelievable

What's that got to do with whether a goal is given as an og or as the strikers?

I think it was a pen. Gerrard's standing foot was his left, when you're running at full pelt & someone makes contact with your other foot, if it affects your timing - i.e. when you expect to plonk down the right foot, you're going down
