I s'pose that it's cos Gallas was so superior to any other left back he had, and that Carvalho wasn't.

 

Although another thing I don't get is what Wayne Bridge has done to upset Maurenho so much. He was no way worse a player than Del Horno, in fact he was probably a bit better than what Del Horno showed over 'ere! But he was shoved out on loan, while he persisted with the Spanish blokey.

Full backs, they've never had any full backs he trusts, even the two he bought himself. I think their defensive depth is suspect wthout Gallas, as was ours. All thier squad strength is in midfield and the perception of the Cudicini of 2002

After losing Van Buyten to Bayern, Hamburg is selling its second centreback.

 

But it's good deal for them.

 

They signed him in 2004 for 1.5 mio Euros. Now Chelsea has to pay a sum with double digits.

 

Bouhlarouz is eligible for the Champions League and will give them depth.

I can't see him starting many matches.

Damn I hate Chelsea. Boulahrouz is a quality defender. Hamburg have made a bade move selling him and Van Buyten this summer.
