I get the feeling Rafa isn't that sort of manager, where he would blow an entire budget on 1/2 player(s) regardless of how good the squad is. I for one wouldn't be too keen on a £20m+ bid for someone.

A central midfielder? No need. We have Gerrard, Alonso, Momo & Zenden, which IMO leaves rafa with some very difficult decisions already without making the situatio worse/better (delete as appropriate).

I have to think that we are done for signings this summer. I'd love us to get one or two more, but I don't see it happening.

What about Agger? When he plays he does what all decent CB, have the striker in your pocket and boss them. He also looks good stepping up from the back. I tought he looked quick this maybe to his positioning though. How fast a CB do you want? how quick is palletta as well?

We also have hammill from the ressie's if he steps up and possibly this morrocan kid. Not sure I would put andersen in the macmanaman style of play bracket.

Forgot about that lad Giles Barnes at Derby, I've seen him a couple of times since the start of the season and he looks very impressive.
