Reading look a good unit to me, and I believe they could have a fast start the way Wigan did this season before fading a bit, but I think they'll stay up. Boothroyd has Watford playing as a team as well and I think they'll give it a go and take it down to the last day of the season. I also have a very strong feeling Charlton will go down without Curbishley, I'm not convinced by the players Dowie has brought in.

I can see Portsmouth's money moving them away from danger, but Wigan having a reality check after last season and slipping into the bottom half. Johnson and Lescott will help the Blue schite to a much higher position they are both excellent signings IMO, whilst O'Neill will get Villa back up into mid table.

West Ham are a cracking young side as well, and I think they'll get sixth. As you can see I've put United in 5th; it's not bias, I've probably put Everton a lot higher than most would think, but I'm honestly not convinced by their transfer dealings so far, and I think this could be Fergie's last season. He's become a dinosaur compared to the current crop of managers, extinction is nigh when Spurs get the last CL spot...

Putting us top is probably blind optimism but I honestly think we'll win it this season.

Not sure why so many have Newcastle that high up. Unless they get a couple of decent strikers they will have some serious problems

Yep, they're in for a good season I think. They've developed a decent squad there now, and if Johnson and Beattie hit it off up front, they will have a really strong strike partnership.

I'm also slightly surprised so many are placing Spurs in the Top 4.

They will have a trickier campaign now that they will be playing Thurs and Sundays, due to the UEFA Cup.

Whereas last season, they were out of all competitions in the first round and could just focus on the league

I just think they've got some excellent additions, namely Zokora who at £6m I think will prove to be one of the best signings of the summer and Berbatov whom I've always rated.

Also Lennon only really came to the fore late last season, and he'll be a big influence from the start this time. You may be right and they may find themselves distracted by Europe etc this time round, but I think they've definitely got a better squad than last year.

Agree that they have a decent squad, but Zokora has replaced Carrick and Berbatov has replaced Mido. There may be an improvement in the quality of personnel, but not in size, and they are flimsy at full back. I think Spurs will be happy with 5th and a decent run in the UEFA.

I also think that Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd are ahead of them in terms of quality and experience. As was shown last season.

Didn't Mido just go back to Tottenham again?
