Huyton_Red Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Irish talk more sense than Andy Gray shock !!! From paddypower Chelsea 2-5 Liverpool 6-1 Man United 13-2 Arsenal 7-1 Tottenham 50-1 Newcastle 150-1 Liverpool second favourites, ahead of Utd in the betting for the first time in 15 years.
Rushian Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Might be worth pointing out that Paddy Power have just signed up as our preferred betting partner and are known for publicity stunts.

I met Pady Power himself when he officially opened a branch near me at the beginning of the year. He's a top bloke.
Kopfaithful Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Might be worth pointing out that Paddy Power have just signed up as our preferred betting partner and are known for publicity stunts. but to gain interest and publicity, surely offering the best odds around on us would be a better option.
Fagan Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 if those odds are from the PP website, then its not irish fans driving those odds. the vast majority of PP's online revenue comes from the UK

I think you'll find that every bookmaker advertises in every national newspaper. Our price for the league has shortened in most places over the summer as we're arguably the only team challenging the chavs that have really strengthened our team. Most bookies probably expected the mancs to buy a few big names(not carrick!) and they haven't. I think betfred are probably biggest price on us for the league @8/1 (1/3 1st 2) and I couldn't think of a better company to take money off
