bloody fenians.

:D

Wasnt just the result. It was the performance and the goals. You dont see many better free kicks than the one they scored. Same players 2nd goal reminded me of Stevies in the FA Cup, though wasnt as good or as timely and important. Next 2 werent too bad either. Really does show Scottish Football up though.

Great quote from Stephen Kenny, Derry's boss, in today's Fiver:

"People say that Gretna is a dream, that it's a romantic story. But what it is is an entrepreneur with cunning who could see that he wasn't going to go far in the UniBond League and had the opportunism to go into the Scottish League. Entrepreneurship is what has got them where they are and has given them the ability to attract players that second division clubs could never attract. Our story is about supporters saving the club and about community. Our players grew up with Derry and you can see the passion"

Kenny is a great manager - he has attracted players who were born in the town back to play for their home team and boy has he got them playing - they were skirting relegation 2 years ago before he arrived and them got them to second in his first season - 1 match away from winning the title and this season you can see the way they are playing - class - part timers with one game in hand to go top of their league!

Red and white army!

We all live in the randy Brandywell! oh ah! the randy Brandywell..the randy Brandywell!

Crazy odds for the game too. Derry were available @9/2 Thought they might scrape the 1st leg but winning 5-1 was a big surprise.
