The linesmen and referee yesterday

Were they actually as bad as I remember?

 

Where I sit - in the first half the linesman seemed to flag us offside when we appeared to be well on twice and in the second half on two occasions he flagged them onside when they clearly were several yards off - did anyone see it on telly?

 

Also - they gave a couple of corners that weren't to them, they gave them random throw ins that obviously weren't theirs and gave us random throw ins (and a corner) that obviously weren't and denied us a corner later on which was obvious.

 

On top of that the failure to punish the number 9 for the couple of laughable dives when he held his face (And jumped back up when he realised he wasn't getting anything) plus the number 7 feigning injury, getting stretched off then getting up straight away was pretty poor.

 

Not to mention several other bits of shinnanigans going on - fairly poor officiating all round I thought - but surely they weren't as bad as I thought - if so I can't see how they would be allowed to officiate another game?

Exactly; sure he refused to let 'treatment' come on for him. And he never booked Luis García for diving either.

 

Most of those offside decisions (mostly Bellamy) were shown to be right on telly as well, as far as I remember.

Their number 7 was a little turd, moaning at every decision against them, diving round, feigning injury. Not a nice team to play against really.

 

The baldy linesman was absolute s**** as well.

Thought the officials last night were excellent and the ref didn't fall for the staying down of their players and nor did he fall for Garcia's dive

i saw the whole game on TV and all the offsides were good calls and the referee was good.

one mistake was a corner haifa got which they werent supposed to

watched the game on telly he seemed to be alright let the game flow ,thought the little git who got stetchered off should have been off earlier (obviously wasting time which wasnt added on ) and i thought momo's yellow was out of order maybe a foul but definatly no yellow card,other than that nothing really bad.

Plenty of mistakes that you could clearly see at the game. Haven't seen the game on telly so can't comment on what they've shown

 

The number of throw in decisions which were wrong was pretty suprising.

They showed it from a camera angle that suggested there was minimal contact if any at all. It was a dive and he should have been booked.

Its easy to look at the ref for reasons the game was not so good. Fact is there were more questions asked last night than answered.

The offsides in the first half were correctly given. The ref worked hard to let the game flow although he made a couple of minor errors. Thought he should have booked the number 7 for persistent fouling but other than that he was decent.

Momo's yellow card was a joke, and the fact he didn't book a couple of their players was also a joke. Missed several foul throws from them as well, I counted two or three that didn't even pass the forehead let alone go behind the head

Sissoko's got no qualms about creating a free kick for himself and Alonso has learned well from Didi.

Riise dives occationally though.

Other than that, I can only think of Gerrard and Garcia.
