Laughing more at Cole who's been burning bridges faster than a champion bridge burner. If it does all go tets up his life's gonna be miserable unless one of the spanish clubs come in.

it would be lovely to see him stuck at arsenal alright.

If he doesn't end up at Chelsea I'll eat my hat, they're playing games, Chelsea paid £16m for an untried kid, of course he's worth 25m by comparison.

he is only worth £25m in chelsea's term, probably worth 8-10 in the real world

Is right. They have set the 'chelsea' market rate by paying Ballack £130k a week and £30m+ for a 30+ year old Shevchenko, and £16m for an unproven 19 year old.

By their own standards Cole must surely be worth that money. The only upside for them in the negotiations is that Arsenal have a clearly unsettled player on their hands.

Wouldn't it be great. His first day back in training would be a joy to behold.

Chelsea breaking off negotiations (which they haven't) is the best result for us.

-Chelsea don't get the LB they want

-Arsenal are stuck with a money grabber who doesnt want to play for them

-Wenger doesn't get £20m+ to improve his side.

Sounds like this statement is just trying to force Arsenal to accept their offer. Mourinho didnt rule out a possible move for Gallas the other way either.

Scare tactics. They'll be back in before the close of the window.

I really hate Chelsea.

Chelsea are trying to show they won't be held to ransom anymore.

Whether it will work....

Despite Cole's best efforts at poisoning his relationship with the club, Arsenal still hold the upper hand for me - they don't need to sell but Chelsea definitely need to buy. Del Horno is gone, Bridge looks like he is on his way out too and their most reliable LB (Gallas) is at odds with the club.

It may go right to the wire but I think the transfer will go through and Arsenal will get close to what they're after.

Not really, they're just not stupid enough to arm Arsenal with a massive amount of money for a left back. If it was any English club outside of us, Utd, Arsenal or any foreign club they'd just throw whatever amount the club wanted at them.

I'm sure Charlton will be delighted at making an £8m profit in less than a week.

Would certainly take the mug smile off Sam Alladyce for making 400k on Didi

Exactly. The idea of Wenger armed with that sort of cash does not appeal to me, especially as he seems to be covered pretty well at LB. Don't want the Arsenal squad strengthened.

I do, however, think that the Chavs will get him before the window closes. They need a LB with Gallas unsettled and Bridge not really rated by the Translator.

Though I don't like this "financial doping" Chelsea are at, I find it hard not to snigger up my sleeve that Ashley is at the centre of a metaphorical roasting by Chelsea and Arsenal.
