owenthomas Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 heard this on the news this morning - reckons he was drinking round the Albert Dock and when he got home he couldn't breathe properly so called 999.. reckons he was spiked.. i don't know what it is but i always dis-trust someone who 'says' they were spiked - as opposed to someone going in to hospital and having tests done and 'finding out' they were spiked.. maybe that's just me being cynical?
Leo No.8 Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Will be interesting to see what those blood tests come back with...
DaveLFC Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 "I just drank this drink, then I became all delusional, The worst part was I had these terrible hallucinations, I was playing in this awful blue shirts for a s**** football team, it was awful." Doctors will wait until he regains some strength before telling him that wasn't an hallucination. The hospital are defending some complaints that they failed to treat the player for several hours. The hospital manager claimed that they get so many delusional everton fans in on a regular basis that they usually just show them the Liverpool Istanbul DVD to bring them back down to earth.
Frosty Jack Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 He didn't realise you were supposed to put it in her drink.

Herbie von Smalls Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 ever the cynic, i reckon van der meyde took the drugs himself and concocted this story as an elaborate attempt to establish his 'innocence'.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I can't wait to hear he was "spiked" with cocain. He probably got wind of a random drug test that morning, bottled it and came up with this story. Quite clever really...
floyd Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Heard his Stella got spiked with Rohypnol. Came round saying he wouldn't be touching Stella again as it left him with a sore ar5e.
guernseygareth Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) i'm cynical about much in this life, including 'my drink was spiked' tales funnily enough. to paraphrase eddie catflap: "if theres any drinks to be spiked, well they can bloody well spike mine" substance experimentation is what makes me tolerate jim morrison! Guest Jodus Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 And in case he wasn't already counting his blessing for having moved to Everton, they have fined him for being out that night! Such compassion!
Guest Jack Bauer Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 His drink wasn't spiked, he just said it was. He was really just rat arsed.
Benitez Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Toffees fine for van der Meyde Everton have confirmed that Andy van der Meyde has been fined for a breach of club discipline. The Dutch wide man needed to be hospitalised in the early hours of Monday morning after complaining of breathing difficulties following a night out in Liverpool. Van der Meyde has since claimed that his drink had been spiked, with the police investigating these claims, but Everton are firmly of the opinion that the player should not have been out in any case on Sunday evening. Toffees boss David Moyes has confirmed the reasons behind the club's decision before explaining that the player had expressed his regret about the incident. ''I have spoken with Andy and he is sorry for what has happened,'' he told the club's official website. ''He will be fined because he should not have been out (on Sunday) but that is the end of the matter.'' ere
