Gomez Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 So say some Spurs forums. £6M they must have caught the United silly disease. He's an alright player but not worth £3m. Wigan stand to make a 600% profit in the space of a year madness I'm sure no-one criticised our purchase of Pennant in the same way (though admittedly this does make Pennant look like a bargain.)
realtarragona Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 (edited) Bit over-priced but seeing as Wigan don't have to sell and he was maybe the best right back in the league last season after Finnan, it's not that shocking really. Another good addition to the Spurs side if it goes through anyway. That left back they've signed, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, is meant to be pretty good too. Edited August 3, 2006 by realtarragona
Barnesy_10 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 isn't he Wigans captain too? or am I wrong? if so then that must affect price surely.
Benitez Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 isn't he Wigans captain too? or am I wrong? if so then that must affect price surely. no he isn't. I hope he goes to Spurs.
Guz Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Dont understand the hype to be honest. He's good going forward but don't think he's all that defensively. From what I've seen of course
Cobs Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 always gonna be over-priced it's not like Spurs can plead poverty at the moment, is it?
