i think way back i started supporting liverpool because they wore my favourite colour and John Barnes played for them. So I may have been a Man Utd or Arsenal fan if you were to ridiculously change the entire course of history thus creating a new me who wasn't me at all.

we can dream though....

John Barnse was a big part of me becoming a Liverpool fan as well. Not quite sure what my reasoning was at the time, but it probably made sense to a 6/7 year old.

Barnet

I have had an interest in Barnet since the time Ray Clemence was their manager. I used to manage them in Championship Manager, and have taken them to the Champions League Final a couple of times, although there are always problems with ground capacity when you get into the Premiership/CL.

I would also quite like to live in Barnet, as the Borough of Barnet has abolished speed bumps. ;)

inspired by this thread on Arsenal mania, http://www.arsenal-mania.com/forum/viewtop...asc&start=0 an awful lot of the gooners are saying they would have been Liverpool fans.

i honestly dont know who i would follow if i wasnt a Liverpool fan, i dont remember ever choosing to be a Liverpool fan, i've just always been one, although its apparantly all down to my uncle when i was a very young kid brainwashing me.

Not a clue. Possibly Celtic as that's who me dad liked.

probably Everton -after all the rest of the family support them - I was the rebel....

however swansea would have been close - but I only liked then cos Toshack went there.

Or the New Hampshire Phantoms :D

Probably would have been Southend United as I used to go and see them at Roots Hall quite bit on Friday nights in the late 1980's

Back in the Championship this season - quite fancy a little trip down memory lane to Prittlewell in the cup...

Me too. I used to go down there occasionally when Dave Webb was manager. If I remember correctly they were promoted 2 seasons on the bounce. Seems like history is repeating itself.

When I was 6 my cousins tried to convert me to the dark side, Uncle even drove me to the Old Trafford shop but I wouldn't have any of it..

Probably a foreign team....

If there was no Liverpool, it definitely would have been United or Everton because of my mates and their families along with the rest of the fecking country. My uncles supported Liverpool.

I'd probably still be going to Bohs matches, actually.

Probably Port Vale. Used to go watch Vale when I couldn't get tickets for Liverpool.

Was also a local trip for me when Liverpool beat them 4-1 in the League cup some time back now.

Probably Southport, Marine or Runcorn - although I have a soft spot for Cambridge United after living next to their ground for 9 months.

I can't believe Everton doesn't make your shortlist.

I watch and have watched a lot of football at a lot of grounds - in the same way I've watched a lot of Rugby at a lot of grounds - just because I watch football at other grounds doesn't mean I'm a 'Fan'.

If the season was on now and I was in Telford - then I'd probably nip down the road to watch Telford United, West Brom, Villa, Brum City and others - but again just because I went to their ground to watch the odd game of footy hardly makes you a fan does it?

Yep with Richard Cadette the goal machine, and my Shtimpers favourite the bearded maestro that was Paul Clark

Always enjoyed the Friday night games. I recall that they always used to show the goals on Saint & Greavsie. Always though it was a bit odd, until I realised that Danny Greaves (Jimmy's son), was on the coaching staff.

Seems like they are doing well for themselves again, and they may well be moving to a new stadium as well.
