Swipe Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 If a team leader or manager - not the boss of the entire office, though - asked u to stop reading a newspaper at your desk while you were on your lunch, then, when you assume he/she must not have known you were on lunch and carried on reading, asked for a word with you, took you into a corner and said "if i tell you to do something, you do it" and came up with the rather feeble "people are trying to work. you should have taken the paper into the kitchen or something, when i told you to stop reading it" when you protested that you were on your lunch and were only silently reading a newspaper.. would you complain about it to the big boss man? Considering the team manager is a real piece of work and has a history of picking on people and doing his/her best to get people she doesnt like into trouble? Would you do it out of principle? Out of the fact what he/she was having a go at you for was so ridiculous, and the fact that it's practically harrassment when you were on your lunch break. Would you just speak to the boss? Or make it clear it's an official complaint from the get go? Especially if your the type that would slap yourself if you let such a wee f***** get away with such unprofessionalism!
