Bootle Buck Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 If Bayern sign Horseface they may make Maakay available. He is a proven goalscorer and could do a job for us for a small fee. If Rafa signs Alves we may not have a great deal left to buy a top striker. This could be a good alternative Bayern may let striker go
Gunga Din Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 i felt we should have made a move for him before he went to Bayern. i'd still liek to see him now to be honest, i have always felt he would do a great job in england

This could be a good alternative Bayern may let striker go I defo would of a few years ago, not now though, he's 30 years old, never played in England and despite a very good goalscoring record last season there were a lot of problems with his attitude apparently.
Lee W Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Quality player - Madrid bound maybe now, but would be a great signing.
Bootle Buck Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) He may be used in a deal with Utd for RVN though. I would hate to see him at the Mancs. He is a great finisher. Edited July 24, 2006 by Bootle Buck
Bailo Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) Makaay would be great in EnglandAs would Pizzaro I think, mentioned in that article too. Munich do still have Santa Cruz, must read articles before posting questions! Means they'll have RvN, Santa Cruz and Podolski next year (maybe). Not bad. Edited July 24, 2006 by Phorum Dunce
Guest Cally77 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Good intelligent player. Would fit into our side nicely.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Cant access the link for some reason - is there a price mentioned ?
Stew F Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 He may be used in a deal with Utd for RVN though. I would hate to see him at the Mancs. He is a great finisher.Cant see it. They'll need all the cash they can get for Torres.

Great player in his day mind...just wonder if that day may be a bit too far into dusk by now.

Rich Gobey Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Someone nudge StevieH, he's letting a golden porridge pun go to waste here.
Knox_Harrington Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 We want someone who can hold it up and bang them in. Let's start from there before ruling people out.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I'm sure I read somewhere that he was one of the first players Rafa got rid of when he took over at Valencia. I may have a bad memory though. you do. He never played for Valencia.
galés rojo Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I'd take any one of Maakay,Pizzaro, or Santa Cruz from Bayern each of them are very good players and could offer us a lot.
Cooldude Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Would be fantastic if we do get him on the cheap, tremandous player
chiliking Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I'd take any one of Maakay,Pizzaro, or Santa Cruz from Bayern each of them are very good players and could offer us a lot. Me too. They are all strikers that can do a job for us.:-)
galés rojo Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Me too. They are all strikers that can do a job for us.:-) Iv'e decided Pizzaro is the answer to our striking conundrum, just like that no need to mess around go get him Rafa.
galés rojo Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 It's cos he has a "ZZ" in his name Sign more players who's names i can't spell. Imagine the mayhem if that Greek bloke signed.
Leo No.8 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Klose hasn't gone anywhere yet - he'd fit in nicely I think, and apparently may be available for as a little as £8m outside Germany...
