player registration is held by the league - dealings would be direct with the MLS - who would compensate the club by giving them the next big player or first chioce in drafting of non league players (from other divisions or college).

Anyways, find it strange that the FA handles transfers. So NY pay Colorado a 1st and a third round pick for Pedro. The the Fa decided to sell him in the middle of the playoffs. Fair????
