owenthomas Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 men in white coats for that beaut on the Chelsea blog.. for fox sake..
Andy @ Allerton Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 (edited) Everyone needs to read this: http://www.chelseablog.com/2006/06/04/jon-...h-a-human-face/ Seriously. I was going to read it in a lighthearted way - but you have to be a member of the website - so I couldn't even do that. I have since read it - can't believe that photo That second one; "the only team he ever wanted to play for are Chelsea" - how many Chelseas are there?! Edited July 20, 2006 by Andy
Bald Devil Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 That blog is priceless: "Chelsea have showed once again, with the way they?ve handled and now resolved the Jon Obi Mikel saga, that they are not only a big club, but a thinking club with real people of conscience at its heart." "Chelsea, in line with our image as conscientious operators, did not seek to exploit the boys?but better them through responsible mentoring, openness and professionalism" "The club took the view that they have to rescue the poor boy from the grip of Evil Football. " "As genuinely decent people, Chelsea know the case is far more than football and that they cannot afford to look at it in terms of pounds and pennies" Christ on a bike.
Boca Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 How old is this player ? 18 ? He would have been born in '88 and probably started supporting a team around '95 or '96. Around this time Chelsea, the team he has "dreamed about all his life" were finishing 14th, 11th, 11th in the Premiership. I'm sure a young African kid would be "dreaming" of Chelsea at that time f***ing delusional, the person that wrote that blog.
Gerry Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Its gotta be a wind up, shirley? If it is a wind-up it's one of the most long-winded, determined wind-ups I've seen in a while. Have you seen the sheer quantity of patronising drivel he's written in the comments section? Defies belief.
ManxRed Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I know, but even Chelsea fans are saying he's talking bowlocks. Its too deluded to be for real. I agree he seems to have gone to rather a lot of effort to perpetuate it though.
ManxRed Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 He probably doesn't understand what they're singing. he probably thinks they're hissing at the opposing team because they're the baddies.
Guest Flok the Dog Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Nah mate, it's a well known Chelsea song- "The yids are on their way to Beslam Hitler's gonna gas em again....." Half the crowd was probably doing it, it's nothing new and I doubt anyone would have battered an eyelid to be honest, I also doubt he was arrested for it later on like the article says. Liverpool fans used to sing this too.
