wtf is going on at villa? hope this episode turns out to be of his orchestration. mind you, he'll probably sue successfully for compensation as he takes the reins at sunderland.

i cannt believe how unprofessional and ridiculous all at Villa Park are. It is time for a change but until he realises his valuation of his shares he won't quit. Cups of coffee, watering pitches!! it is like watching an episode of minding your business on daytime bbc. o'leary is laughing, as he knows ellis wont sack him as he wont pay out any compo, i bet this investigation is to try and get o'leary fired due to gross missconduct!

and yet he could have had him last season for impersonating a football manager :bleh:

A few Villa supporting mates are over the moon with this - they reckon it was O'Leary himself behind the player unrest quotes to the local journalist.

Acc to them O'Leary never accpeted fault when they were constantly outfought and outthought - he used the same old cliches he spouted at Leeds - instead if admitting he is a limited manager.

Personally, I hope Villa get back to being a top 8 side over the next couple of seasons. Though looks like Deadly Doug will have to loosen those purse strings for the new manager...

If they were in fiscal problems before...

O'Leary has spent cash, as have all the rest, but it's on the likes of Angel, Balaban, Baros and Collymore, just rank bad buying

If he did orchestrate those 'player' comments though, surely Villa could've just used that as a reason to sack O'Leary and avoid any compensation at all as some kind of breach of contract. O'Leary has done something extraordinary at Villa and that's to deflect the hatred from the fans from Dippy Doug onto himself. I reckon Ellis has just seen this as a timely excuse to get rid of O'Leary.

Aston Villa are considering appointing former Newcastle boss Graeme Souness, who is friendly with chairman Doug Ellis through a shared love of fishing. (Sunday Express, Daily Star Sunday)

villa fans must be worried sick, I'd put money on them going down more-so than the promoted teams!
