Montse Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 The madness knows no bounds...mind you it also wouldnt surprise me if it turned out to be true either! Transfer Talk: Roman offer for Kakà Eurosport - Louis Laffitte - 18/07/2006 11:02 Despite having already signed Germany's Michael Ballack and Ukraine's Andriy Shevchenko, Abramovitch's ambition looks unquenchable. But even a 70-million euros offer - according from French daily L'Equipe - should not be enough to lure Kakà to Stamford Bridge. Indeed, the 24-year old spoke aloud of his attachment to the Rossoneri on Monday. "My family and I are happy in Milan and that is why I renewed my contract until 2011," he told the Spanish AS newspaper. But the Brazilian hinted that a move to the Spanish capital could be in store, especially since Milan have been deprived of Europe next season. "The fact that Real are interested in me and want me is very pleasing. Real are as great a club as Milan, or possibly even greater," he said. "I would only sign with Real after they had reached a deal with myself, but more importantly having satisfied Milan's requests," he finally concluded. Kakà played for the last two seasons at the San Siro and scored 21 goals in 75 matches. ere
M4TTA Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 read something on tlw that dave u was txt'd and said pretty much the same thing. Would be funny to see them spend that amount of money on a player who, is good, but he's not worth that much, shirley?
Guest Jack Bauer Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Dave U was texted by a mate who saw it on Italian tv before people start panicking
ManxRed Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Why the hell do they need Kaka when they have Supah Fw***? Why the hell do they need Kaka when they have Supah Fw***? Ha ha! It's asterisked 'Fw ank'!! How appropriate!!
Gilps Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Milan have said today that no-one else is going anywhere. No reason why they should. A 15 point deduction shouldn't be enough to stop them qualifying for next season's champions league from a weakened Serie A, especially as they'll be better placed than most to snap up any players wanting out of the rlegated sides but not out of Italy.
charlie clown Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 there was a short paragraph in the Guardian's Fiver a couple of days back that I've now deleted so can't quote exactly but it said that some team or other - can't remember who - had offered £22m for kaka and then they added "so that should see the inevitable £45m offer from Chelski follow any minute now".

Remember reading that - it was Real Madrid btw.
_00_deathscar Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Definitley. They finished 12 points ahead of Inte and 19 ahead of Roma last season. They'll have no European distractions and should be able to strengthen at least as much as their rivals. And don't have to worry about playing Juve.
Guest bungle Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 And don't have to worry about playing Juve. And neither do Inter or Roma have to, probably an extra few points for them to look forward to......
Leo No.8 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Definitley. They finished 12 points ahead of Inte and 19 ahead of Roma last season. They'll have no European distractions and should be able to strengthen at least as much as their rivals. I don't think Roma are quite back to the level they were at a few years ago, Milan really should finish more than 15 points ahead of them if they keep their squad together. As for Inter - famous for being perennial under-achievers and living in Milan's shadow, can you imagine the pressure of starting 15 points ahead? The ridicule if Milan won the title even with a 15 point deduction? It would make for a fascinating title chase actually - I might stick a few quid on Milan to win Serie A next season if the odds are tempting enough...
jimmylibel Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 With Juve gone, if Milan keep all their players plus sign Zambrotta who has made it clear they are his preferred destination, I actually think they could win Serie A even with a 15 point deduction. I could see them overhauling Roma and Inter... They need a new striker though.
Leo No.8 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 They need a new striker though. Is true, but now they've stayed up I fully expect them to sign a good un with the £34m they have from the sale of Shevchenko. No Champions League football will put a dent in that, but I expect they'll bring someone pretty good in to add to Gilardino and the ever-horrible Inzaghi. Would have thought they'd be interested in Toni now Fiorentina have gone down, but he doesn't seem to have been linked with them. Also they've always held an interest in Van Nistelrooy, surprised not to see them challenging Madrid for him.

Leo No.8 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Trezeguet? Zlatan? I think they'll want to sign better than them in all honesty. Trez is a great goalscorer but does absolutely zero for the team; so slightly more than Inzaghi in other words. Zlatan was awful last season, but brilliant the season before, so who knows if they'd be interested or not?

Missing out on CL football is going to hit their budget and it's looking like they might be in for Buffon and Zambrotta. I accept these players will be at a reduced rate but don't expect them to be cheap either. Also can't think what forward they'd go for to play with Gilardino and is on the market this summer?
