Guest Kev Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 anyone know if todays game is being shown live anywhere? Just the offal website I think. Why haven't we got our own tv channel
Guest rookie Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Try using this for TV listings TV Football Listings Yes, it's listed there but it doesn't mean it's on. Nothing on eurosport.co.uk about the game.
Guest Kev Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I have never seen the Kaiserslautern game on the tv listings. They were and that's why I posted this thread.
Ombudsam Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 This has now been taken off the listings I was in work. If I can't watch it no one can
Sion Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Just checked British Eurosport's schedule for Saturday, and it doesn't look like it's on.
Paul_LFC Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 (edited) Digi-guide are still showing that the game will still be broadcast at 4.30 next Saturday. There's also an hour's highlights show of the game on the 30th July at 1pm. -------------------------------- Football on Five: Grasshopper Zurich V Liverpool (Sport) Time - 15:45 - 18:00 (2 hours and 15 minutes long) When - Tuesday 1st August on five Live. Live coverage of this pre-season friendly. A chance for Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez to run his eye over his charges in preparation for the start of the Premiership season. Swiss team Grasshopper Zurich will provide healthy opposition. Edited July 23, 2006 by Paul_LFC
Bo Benn Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Yup, it's not listed on the UK site. (Not that I care I'm watching the "generic" Eurosport ) Also, if you can get access to DSF (the german sport channel) our game against Mainz on the 4th aug is shown live there
clagy Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 (edited) just checked eurosport text and it lists the Kaiserslautern game on international eurosport at 4:30 but its not listed on british eurosport. Edited July 25, 2006 by clagy
Guest Strictly Commercial Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I emailed British Eurosport asking if they had the game and got this reply: "Dear viewer, Thank you for your enquiry. British Eurosport do not have the rights to show this match in the UK. Best regards, UK Communications British Eurosport UKComms@eurosport.com Tel: 0845 672 1010 British Eurosport Feltham Media Centre Sussex House 2 Plane Tree Crescent Felthambrook Industrial Estate Feltham, Middlesex TW13 7HF British Eurosport is available on Sky (Ch 410), NTL (Ch 112) and Telewest (Ch 521). Also available on Top Up TV (Ch 33) between the hours of 1pm and 11pm. British Eurosport 2 is available on Sky (Ch 411), NTL (Ch 811) and Telewest (Ch 525)." So it looks like its only available to the rest of Europe! I wonder who has the rights to show it in the UK?
galés rojo Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 interesting , i wonder if it will be encrypted on international eurosport ? Can you get International eurosport on normal Sky?
Morgul Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I'm happy that it will be aired up here, as it looks like there won't be any coverage on the e-season.
clagy Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Can you get International eurosport on normal Sky? not as far as i know , i can only get it cause ive still got my old analogue dish/reciever.
Sion Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Shouldn't be too difficult to get a stream for international eurosport.
Guest redmann Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 (edited) checked today's teletext tv guide (page 600)on Eurosport UK and it is listed for Saturday 4:30pm. Edited July 26, 2006 by redmann
lfc_col Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 checked today's teletext tv guide (page 600)on Eurosport UK and it is listed for Saturday 4:30pm. just been on there website and it aint on there http://www.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule_clng2_day3.shtml
Guest redmann Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 just been on there website and it aint on there http://www.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule_clng2_day3.shtml Weird that, the schedules / tv guide usually changes and is more often wrong, taking into account over run of sporting events. Best thing to do is check the channel at kick off, with luck they may have it on. I'm lucky to have satellite, so can also get international eurosport. The next freindly Aug 1 is deffo on channel 5, and the Aug 4 is on DSF (german fta sports channel). hope that this helps others.

Knox_Harrington Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Have to say I think there's little more pathetic than watching pre-season friendlies on tv. I can totally understand going mind.

I can totally understand going mind. It's a chance for some to see the new boys and a few of the kids in action - and HAS to be better than watching the 'Sons of katie Elder' or 'Big Brother' after all! They are much more fun to go to though, granted.

And before anyone mentions it, The Mission Statement was slaughtering the Channel 5 pre-season b******s before Sean Ingle was NUJ accredited.
