Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 How long till the first posting of that horses head hanging out of a car window?and you know it'll be just as funny as the first time
stressederic Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 and you know it'll be just as funny as the first time The classics never die. No matter how many times you might wish it.
Guest Ant Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I wouldn't say No To Buying Him... A half decent bid will be worth it
Guz Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Perhaps, but I think it's got at least something to do with his game, whether he can play counter attack, whether he will do 70 mins of unselfish running for the team before being subbed off when he's out of gas From the limited time I saw them, I reckon the mancs played better football last season with Saha in the side rather than the horse. There isn't even a debate as to who is the better footballer but as a team, they looked more solid without him.
Mike Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 the horse was dropped from the dutch national team - and they couldn't buy a goal.you think ferguson would drop him if he was banging in hatricks?
stressederic Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 From the limited time I saw them, I reckon the mancs played better football last season with Saha in the side rather than the horse. There isn't even a debate as to who is the better footballer but as a team, they looked more solid without him. United did play better football without Van Nistelrooy, I've been saying it for years. However, its only because they got rid of Beckham and Giggs dramatically declined (and was moved out of the left wing). Van Nistelrooy needs accurate service dropping to him on the penalty spot, and his presence in the team narrowed their style. He was very effective at it mind you, but the rest of the team became increasingly unsuited to it. Ronalod, Rooney, Saha etc are all damn fast and turn and go at you, which didn't really suit Van Nistelrooy. He still scored plenty of goals mind you because he's a good striker, but he doesn't really fit into Uniteds setup any more. Think he'd fit ours perfectly though.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 that true or a wind up?isn't everyone we sign a boyhood fan?
aka Dus Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I'd puke if we bid for him, let alone if he joined.
floyd Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 With Van Horse going to Franco's Madrid, were is Ronaldo going to end up?
smithdown Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I'd puke if we bid for him, let alone if he joined. And you'd be well within your rights to.
Murphman Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 and you know it'll be just as funny as the first time 'The horse's head' = 'Darling' in Blackadder, timeless and ever hilarious.
drdooom Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 We're signing Owen? He's a little striker... I really appreciated this. Good work. I felt I should mention it since it seems to have gone unnoticed by others. Keep it up!
_00_deathscar Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I really appreciated this. Good work. I felt I should mention it since it seems to have gone unnoticed by others. Keep it up! Don't encourage him ....
jimmylibel Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 If he signs for Real they will then have the following forwards for next season: Van NistelrooyRonaldoRaulBaptistaRobinhoCassano Even by Real's standards that's very top heavy. Might mean that one or two of those players are up for grabs. Arsenal are supposed to be interested in signing Baptista still.
jimmylibel Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 apparently cassano's on his way out as well jim. Weren't there rumours last January that the only reason they signed him was because Capello wanted him? Wouldn't be hugely surprised to see Raul leave there either. Don't think any of the big clubs will go for Ronaldo in his current state - not to mind he's out for the next 4 weeks or something after having surgery. That would suggest that Raul would be the easiest to get rid of. Can't see them letting Robinho go.
