Dig at Neville aside, he's absolutely right. People forget how good Rob Jones was. I have no doubt that had he stayed fit he'd have gone on to become the greatest right back to ever play for us.

one he hit the post against sheffield wedensday, he was playing left wing back, the keeper came out he hit it outside of the right boot and it bent the WRONG way and hit the post. Still cant believe that.

apparantly during the worl cup Carragher texted Bascombe to ask him how long Gary Neville was injured for.

 

Bascombe replied "yeah sure, but you see him every day why don't you ask him?"
