bigdave50uk Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 not according to the charlton chairman on ssn he's just said darrens going nowhere this year
Spike Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 cant be true dowie has just said in the press conference that he's going nowhere and jimmy floyd flashed a massive grin when he said it
McBain Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 not according to the charlton chairman on ssn he's just said darrens going nowhere this year He's off then
David Hodgson Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'd take Darren Bent. He's 'got a bit of everyfink' about him. Pace, power, youth and goals.
Sara Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 He can't be any worse than Bellamy can he? And not half the trouble!
McBain Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 He needs to show it for more than one season in the prem before we look to spend £10m or so on him To be honest I think he'll struggle a fair bit next season now that defenders have started to work him out
Sara Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 We can do alot better then Bent. That all depends on what budget we have.

Nerik Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I hope the Charlton chairman is right. I do not rate Bent much. Marcus Stewart scored a lot of goals in one season.......... Then again if he signs I hope I am proved wrong and end up applauding him as he bags goal after goal for us.

Fowler, Owen, Shearer, Lineker, Rush etc etc., did not.
Rimbeux Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'd take Darren Bent. He's 'got a bit of everyfink' about him. Pace, power, youth and goals. aye
Sion Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The thing I like about Bent is that he's young and can learn. He's scored at every level he's played at, and can learn a lot of Rafa and Fowler. If his name was Dareen Bento and he a similar record in Spain you'd all be cumming in your collective panties at the thought of him. If we were to sign Bent we'd have an all British front line. (Assuming FSP leaves)

He's not Marcus Stewart or Rickets, anyone who's seen him play a few times should be able to pick that much up
floyd the barber Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 any striker we pay 10mill or over for willl be a flop........errrr i guess its a fact..sorta
Gomez Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'd take Darren Bent. He's 'got a bit of everyfink' about him. Pace, power, youth and goals. and diving.
RedHarvest Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 From what I've seen of Kuyt (admittedly f*** all) I'd take Bent ahead of him
David Hodgson Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 and diving. Ah yes, another fine quality. We need one who can do that properly.
Bailo Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 From what I've seen of Kuyt (admittedly f*** all) I'd take Bent ahead of him
David Hodgson Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Can he hold it up? No, but he can sustain an erection for unfeasibly long periods. I'm told.
