jariiiiiiiiiise Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Just thinking about how much its going to effect the Italian clubswhat it would be like in england Carragher is a deffo to stay and Gerrards is 70/30 to stay but who else as to leaving the spainish boy along with Rafa me thinks Neville to stay for the mancs the rest out the door as fast as possible the entire Chelsea team/staff/manager and tea lady would leave
Bjarkinn Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Nobody at Chelsea, everyone there is playing for the money which they will get in the division 1 also
Guest Anders Honoré Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Can't really see any of the top players staying after dropping two divisions. Not carragher, not gerrard. Only the sh*te players who aren't gonna find another top club to play for and really like the club. And maybe people like Gary Neville who are getting on a bit and love their clubs anyway.
Guest L4 Lad Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 what an obscure thread. let's face it, we won't be involved in any matchfixing scandals unless morgan gains full control of the club and employs his own corrupt yes men but at present. no chance.
live Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 And we´d probably be glad to have him. it would be part of LFC's cunning plan to finally get rid of him
M4TTA Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 what an obscure thread. let's face it, we won't be involved in any matchfixing scandals unless morgan gains full control of the club and employs his own corrupt yes men but at present. no chance. i bet the italians would have said the same thing a year ago if you posted this on a fan base site too.
Gomez Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 They'd all go, and they'd be stupid not too. Gerrard, Carra inclusive. And even if they wanted to stay, we'd probably have to sell as we wouldn't be able to pay their wages on reduced income, no CL / Europe etc. If it was just a one division relegation, I would imaging things could be done with year long loans etc. We'd be left with Warnock, Carson, Flo and kids like Anderson, Hobbs etc. Would be interesting to see what would happen if Liverpool, Man U and arsenal were relegated, as we would take the vast majority of the TV audience with us. Presumably they couldn't be renegotiated, though I'm sure we'd try. Could f*ck up TV stations banking on selling advertisements to large audiences that they would not be getting though.
M4TTA Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I'd imagine Fowler would stay. without a shadow of a doubt imo
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Carragher is a deffo to stay and Gerrards is 70/30 to stay you're kidding yourself
Gilps Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'm still convinced that should a scandal similar to the one in Italy ever happen in England, the FA would never have courage to relegate the big boys. Be a complete whitewash.
JohnnyH Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 (edited) Carragher is a deffo to stay and Gerrards is 70/30 to stay but who else as to leaving the spainish boy along with Rafa me thinks I doubt this very much. Both Carra and Gerrard would be out the door within the week. Why would either of them play the next two (minimum) years of their lives in the lower leagues? Nobody should fool themselves on this loyalty thing. Before Gerrards first dalliance with Chelsea no-one would have even considered Gerrard would have left, but look how easily his eye was turned. Guest efcrmagic Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 As much as a player "loves the club" what they really mean to say is that they "love playing for the club when they're in the Premiership/Champions League". It depends what level a player sees themselves at, none of your top players would stay and you couldn't expect them to. Plus with Gerrard worth about £40m and Carragher £15m Liverpool would have to sell, along with the rest.

Carragher £15m add 5 mill to that if your putting Gerrard in the 40mil bracket which is 15mil more that Evertoffee could afford
