What a tw*t!

 

He almost managed to c*ck up the presentation of the trophy last night, wandering about on the podium holding the World Cup as if to say 'does this belong to any of yous?'

Wasn't that Lennart Johansson? I did not notice Blatter at the presentation at all... for once he kept in the background.

yeah it was, same guy who presented the champs league trophy to us.

the italian players didn't help the matter eithe by sorrounding the cup

 

Did anyone else think that it just didn't feel right, all the players touching, kissing and (in Gattuso's case) actually picking up thr cup before it had been awarded to the captain?

 

I know a couple of ours did it in Istanbul but not enough of them for it to be an issue particularly. I just feel that it is the right of the captain to be the first to touch the cup. I suppose you just get carried away in the emotion of the moment but I just admit I wish they would hold the cup back until the captain arrives.

It was a second rate presentation ceremony. Even the little swirly table the trophy was on appeared to be made of plywood- and too low.

 

And Johansson was wandering around like he had Alzheimers.

I mean, personally, my memory of football struggles to get past 25.05.05 even after the FA cup win

presentations are nothing without steps. that's the only thing i miss about wembley. (incidentally, does anyone know if there will be steps in the new wembley? no smarta*** replies you bunch of wags.)

I seem to remember hearing that the new Wembley will feature the steps up to be presented with the trophy, like the old stadium.

that idiot??? didnt he try and present the trophy to Carragher only to be pointed in the direction of Gerrard by the confused legend?

 

seriously, how hard is it to learn the 2 captains beforehand?/ that's all the guy had to do and he couldn't do it....

 

says a lot though.. this world cup was a shame

presumably italy will then be stripped of the world cup because of de rossi's disgraceful elbow against the USA.

 

wish blatter would just f*** off.

de rossi should never have allowed to play in that final
