smithdown Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 What a tw*t! He almost managed to c*ck up the presentation of the trophy last night, wandering about on the podium holding the World Cup as if to say 'does this belong to any of yous?' FFS!
Hassony Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 was funny to watch, the italian players didn't help the matter eithe by sorrounding the cup
Leo No.8 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Shame he didn't trip and impale himself on the trophy...
Guest ojdk Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 What a tw*t! He almost managed to c*ck up the presentation of the trophy last night, wandering about on the podium holding the World Cup as if to say 'does this belong to any of yous?' FFS! Wasn't that Lennart Johansson? I did not notice Blatter at the presentation at all... for once he kept in the background.
smithdown Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 Wasn't that Lennart Johansson? I did not notice Blatter at the presentation at all... for once he kept in the background. Was it? It was 2am when I saw it so by then they all look alike.
Barnesy_10 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Wasn't that Lennart Johansson? I did not notice Blatter at the presentation at all... for once he kept in the background. yeah it was, same guy who presented the champs league trophy to us.
Leo No.8 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Fat, officious, miserable looking w@nkers are two a penny at FIFA, you wouldn't be able to tell one from the other...
Hassony Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Was it? It was 2am when I saw it so by then they all look alike.racialist
Leo No.8 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 racialist I have a better word for it. Bureaucratism, thats what it is...
Hassony Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 So what? What you gonna do? Nut me? one day, when you least expet it
kop205 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 the italian players didn't help the matter eithe by sorrounding the cup Did anyone else think that it just didn't feel right, all the players touching, kissing and (in Gattuso's case) actually picking up thr cup before it had been awarded to the captain? I know a couple of ours did it in Istanbul but not enough of them for it to be an issue particularly. I just feel that it is the right of the captain to be the first to touch the cup. I suppose you just get carried away in the emotion of the moment but I just admit I wish they would hold the cup back until the captain arrives.
berdoing Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 They should just have the captain go up first and pick it up like the good old days.
Guest roger Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It was a second rate presentation ceremony. Even the little swirly table the trophy was on appeared to be made of plywood- and too low. And Johansson was wandering around like he had Alzheimers.
Spike Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 alzheimers or was he looking to give the trophy to Carra again? I mean, personally, my memory of football struggles to get past 25.05.05 even after the FA cup win
Jarg Armani Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 presentations are nothing without steps. that's the only thing i miss about wembley. (incidentally, does anyone know if there will be steps in the new wembley? no smarta*** replies you bunch of wags.)
stressederic Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 presentations are nothing without steps. that's the only thing i miss about wembley. (incidentally, does anyone know if there will be steps in the new wembley? no smarta*** replies you bunch of wags.) I seem to remember hearing that the new Wembley will feature the steps up to be presented with the trophy, like the old stadium.
Guest Makaveli Smith Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 yeah it was, same guy who presented the champs league trophy to us. that idiot??? didnt he try and present the trophy to Carragher only to be pointed in the direction of Gerrard by the confused legend? seriously, how hard is it to learn the 2 captains beforehand?/ that's all the guy had to do and he couldn't do it.... says a lot though.. this world cup was a shame
Spike Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 presentations are nothing without steps. that's the only thing i miss about wembley. (incidentally, does anyone know if there will be steps in the new wembley? no smarta*** replies you bunch of wags.) you making a H = a proper queen reference there?
Jarg Armani Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 you making a H = a proper queen reference there? a what? not clever enough to make references i'm afraid...

Hassony Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Can someone please kill Blatter? And burning's too good for him etcthat would be excellent, the c*** doesn't deserve the golden ball
