I saw Brazil vs Japan in Dortmund which is a fantastic ground (it was where the Germany Italy semi was the other night).

 

Best pre game atmosphere ever. Note I did say PRE game. Everybody drinking and dancing and singing together outside the ground in all of these little bar areas that they set up with fit birds serving drinks, plasmas showing old footie and stereos playing "carnival" type music. It was great - loads of people dressed up easy to get in and out of it was great.

I've seen Brasil play before, In Brasil and also vs Scotland in Italia '90 and it's just fantastic - also been to Dortmund's ground in 2001 and it's a real footie stadium - steep sides, close to pitch and a great atmosphere

not gone over, would have loved to have been at the Argentina V Mexico game, not been drawn to a game that didn't involve Liverpool in so long as I was with that game.

 

My boss is going to the final on Sunday, he went to England V Portugal and also Brazil v Japan.... lucky get.

Was over for a few games. Whoever said the pre game in Drotmunc was the best ever had obviously smuggled in the booze and avoided the Budweiser, or else were talking about downtown (in which case it probably isn't true).

 

The problem about going to the WC is coming home half way through. After that, everything is a bit of an anti-climax.

Went to Togo v S Koea game in Frankfurt.

 

Stayed at the dump site called World cup Camping. A dump but a great party. Dispite all the racist chanting.

 

Frankfurt is a great city. Germans were so chilled out by it all

A trip to Kaiserslautern for Spain vs Saudi and a day at the fan fest in Frankfurt, when Germany played.

 

Brilliant experience, so glad I just bunked off and went

It was me and at the Brazil game they were serving German beer. However my mate who came with me to that game was surprised as he'd seen Sweden vs Trinidad a week or so earlier at Dortmund and said that they were only serving Bud within a certain radius of the ground (1/4 mile, 3 miles I can't remember).

I went to the Fan Fests a couple of times in Gelsenkirchen and Cologne. Stayed in Essen for most of the games.

 

There were some great parties after the German wins. The police had to close off the street here because of 20k Germans partying like mad.

 

It's been a great party. Shame we left so early Also, someone broke the second England flag off my bike on Saturday, the a***.
