Not looking for an argument here but I don't see why Ronaldo has got such a hard time when it looked as though he was just protesting a foul.

Some of this stuff against him has gone well over the top.

You mean apart from his diving all the time, selfishly crying, trying to get other players booked and sent off and, looking at the bare stats, not really doing very much in terms of creating or scoring goals.

Well, I'm Irish, so I don't give a monkey's about what he did in the Quarters (apart from piss our lads off)

But the fact remains that he's a slimeball diving ugly feckin manc kebab shop chain owner in waiting, and when he sobs his likkle heart out it makes me happy.

'K?

Yes, the lad goes down too easily but newsflash; there are players in the England team and indeed in the Liverpool team that have done the same thing. I am not condoning what Ronaldo sometimes does but it just seems that whenever a English player does the same thing then there never seems to be any complaints. Owen dived and won two penalties against Argentina in two different world cups but nobody kicked up a fuss. My point being is that people only seem to care when its the opposition doing it. Ingerlund fans have notorious selective memories.

Of course I do not condone diving but this Ronaldo vendetta thats going on now in the media is all about making him a scapegoat so Rooney escapes criticism. Its a joke.

None of the criticism is anything new to football fans in England. It's just the rest of the country and the rest of the world are now chuckling at his blatant cheatery.

Don't like Ronaldo at all but I agree with that.

Motson tonight: "I don't mean to be spiteful but Ricardo Carvalho was the player involved in the Wayne Rooney incident."

Sorry? The crafty, cheating foreigner cleverly manoeuvred his b*llocks under Rooney's studs? If there was any justice, Motson's P45 would be flying through the post when this tournament finishes.

Carvalho is the dirtiest defender in the Premiership by some distance! He usually goes unpunished as well. He richly deserves to get some of his own medicine back.

I agree it is time to pension off Motson, though. I used to like his commentaries, but these days he seems to have a very feeble grasp of what is happening on the pitch.

Three summers running now he has burst into tears: Euro 2004 final, F.A. cup final 2005 and tonight. If a cuckoo signals spring, then Ronaldo crying signals summer.

Nobody kicks up a fuss because he didn't dive on either occasion
