I seem to recall the vast bulk of Juve's income comes through selling exclusive television rights.

Their gates are piss poor anyway so.

Why wouldn't they be able to hang onto their players, surely the contract has a year or three to run? I can't believe there's too many players contracts with get out clauses referring to CL places and relegation either. After all what contract negotiations would have foreseen this as a possibility.

So looks like we may not get Trezuget for £345.75 after all?

I'd imagine whoever they have the contract with would have the foresight to include clauses about being in Serie A. Perhaps not.

You can't imagine Liverpool players/mancs/Chelsea etc having a clause either can you. What's the odds on say man Utd being relegated. Oh hang on a minute!! One of the joys of being 'mature' is some of us on here can remember that glorious day.

Oh how we laughed!!

Juve'll be back in the top flight iby 2008-09. Serie C&B will just be an extended national tour for them.

Just think of the transfer kitty they'll have in 2008-09 after saving on wages for two years :o .

Thanks for that positive spin Luciano.

So being sent down to Serie C is in actual fact the first step in Juve's masterplan for world domination...

Very cunning indeed these Italians.

It's actually their defence strategy - "There's no point relegating us, it'll only reward us in the long term".

If you send us down we will become more powerful than you can ever imagine.

I can see the Juve hierarchy bursting into evil laughter as the verdict sends them down to Serie C much to the shock and surprise of everyone in attendance.

Moggi stands up, now with bloody fangs sticking out of the corners of his mouth, and drawing his black cape around him, points to the defence team and screams;

'YOU FOOLS, think of our transfer budget in 2009 mwua ha ha ha'

Before changing into a bat and flying out of the courtroom window...

Doesn't Nedved play for them? Wonder what will happen to him?

This is correct, but i'm pretty sure that the contract would include termination rights or a reduction of income in the event of relegation.

If they go down to Serie B, I would think most players would stay. Why not? its one season. In fact, they could offer most of the 'stars' a loan season to another club, and then come back when Juve back in A.

the real impact will be in the CL. They will suffer the chelsea effect of poor/no season in the CL and therefore seeded lower. Even if they only go to B, they will be 2 seasons without CL.

What I can't understand, is why UEFA are not looking at their matches in Europe. Possibly because they haven't really succeeded in recent seasons?
