Our new left side

Teams always used to attack us down our left side as they didn't want to take on the two Stevie's on the right. With the signings of Aurelio and Gonzalez, they'll all need to re-think how they are going to play us in future. Now to put the finishing touches to the right wing and the attack - I can't wait for the season to start.

Lots of pace and technical ability attacking wise on the left hand side, not to mind mentioning four decent set piece takers.

Riise's defencive work really improved last year. Does anyone know if Gonzales and Aurelio are any good at helping out the defence?

Aurelio is a leftback so i would hope so!

He seems to works very hard for the team - tracks back, tackles. He's definately a 100%er - just the type of player Rafa likes, funny enough

Not sure I agree with that although their role in any teams' attacking play seems to have grown lately.

Aurelio was often seen on the left wing because he was there only option when Vicente was injured, which is often.

Aside from which he's a fantastic goal scorer.

 

He was even played in the 'Aimar' position a few times.
