I know it shouldn't bother me..but it does.

Typical example is the unfortunate death of that young Private Gavin Williams, who appears to have died from heat exhaustion whilst being diciplined at barracks. Now, at no point am I justifing his death, just the style of the reporting..

BBC report along the lines of :

It is believed Pte Williams had been undertaking a disciplinary exercise for an act of misbehaviour.

Nothing there but the facts..

Daily Mirror go with A lack of sense of humour caused his death.

The 22-year-old Private - nicknamed Will - playfully squirted a fire extinguisher at an officer after drinking with friends at a nightclub following England's World Cup defeat.

Trying to make out that it was ok, he's only messing about.

WTF was he doing rushing into the Officers Mess then spraying a fire extinguisher at his CO??

They then seem suprised he was punished by being forced to excersise outside..

It's the same when they're talking about teenagers. If it's a young innocent victim, it's always "a 19 year old youth" or whatever.. but if they're guilty it's "an 18 year old man".. gets right on my tyts.
